I am beyond pissed now! I have my daughter's computer with Carbonite and that subscription is going away too.

Why do you use these companies?
I mean why not use an external harddrive so your data is private instead of letting a company , a liberal company in this case back your data up and so they can see what you have done or what you like etc?
To me it doesn’t make sense to pay a company to back your files up when all you have to do is back them up yourself and that way no one see what what files you have, especially this left wing company
If they were ‘smart’ (and they obviously are not if they are no longer advertising on Rush), they would have said “sorry to lose you as a customer, if you ever change your mind, we’d love to have you back and here is your refund for the 6 months you won’t be using.” That would engender at least some ‘neutral’will if not a little goodwill. Instead they are creating “illwill”. Their stock hit a 52 week low yesterday after they decamped from Rush’s camp .... suspect with them treating customers like this, it is doomed to go lower. The old saying applies here “You reap what you sow”.
If the carbonite logo box is still on your computer, go to the uninstall and right click on it and it will tell you how to get a refund, it may not work for you since you've already cancelled it.
Write a snail mail letter to Friend, the CEO of carbonite and you might get a refund.
