"The problem isn't health insurance mandates. The problem isn't Romneycare. The problem isn't welfare reform. The problem is Democrats."

Right, Ann, try and hop back on the Conservative train all you like, but we're not buying it. MittBot is as MittBot does and if Newt had won Florida you'd be slandering Newt every way you could think of instead of this lame attempt to pretend you're concerned about all things Conservative.

Want anyone to ever believe you again, Ann? Then shave your head so everyone recognizes you've been a bit too friendly with the fascist occupiers and appear that way on Fox where you admit to having made a horrible mistake by supporting Romney.

Ann Coulter, just another Vichy Republican slut partying with the fascist troops at night and pretending to be Conservative by day.

Can you come up with a date for when Newt last cheered for any kind of Obamacare like plan? I think that died the death when Hillarycare, as it would have been, underwhelmed a Republican Congress.

Don’t be so hard on Ann after-all she is single. Polygamy was only put on “hold” by the LDS . She is hoping when Romney wins she can be the other Ann’s sister wife. He is quite wealthy you know.

Actully, in a Dec 6, 2011 interview with Glenn Beck he stated that he supports a “variation” of the individual mandate. He suggests that people be required to buy health insurance or post a bond to cover their care. He likens it to what states require for auto insurance. Problem for me is, what happens if someone refuses to buy insurance or post a bond? Seems the only solution the government would come up with is imposing a fee or penalty of some kind, because I doubt they’ll just overlook it, and we’re right back to an Obamacare scenario.

“The problem isn’t health insurance mandates. The problem isn’t Romneycare. The problem isn’t welfare reform. The problem is Democrats.”

Ann is saying the problem isn’t government. It’s who runs it.

Establishment thinking. The fight isn’t between freedom and tyranny, it’s about whose doing the tyrannizing.

I read this tripe 3 times and the meltdown is amazingly disgusting.

There's no obvious constitutional difference between a state forcing militia-age males to equip themselves with guns and a state forcing adults in today's world to equip themselves with health insurance.

-- and she got this from?

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

Do you see a problem here?

My wife suggested last night that this situation smacks of Romney or someone having something very compromising on Annie and blackmailing her.

Compare: In 1978 or so Bill Buckley debated Ronald Reagan on the Panama Canal Treaty. No one who knew Bill believed for one minute that his support for the treaty was sincere. Reagan was a great hero to conservatives especially later when he was in the White House but he was not as polished a debater as Bill. Bill did not do well in the debate. Reagan won with the line: "We built it. We paid for it and its ours!" The debate and Bill's lackluster performance left the impression that Carter was threatening Bill with a tax prosecution or something.

Annie's choice of POTUS candidates is utterly inconsistent with her other writings. I also don't believe that she is under the magic spell of Bill Maher as her svengali.

[Keep digging deeper Ann, we just about totally lost sight of you, bye-bye.]

I used to have friends in Hong Kong. Maybe they can let me know when she pops up there.

She went off the deep end a while ago by becoming the star at the GOPround “HomoFest” and then a bit later, their mascot. Stick a fork in her.

And I say this as someone who bought two of her books. Never again.

I should probably be a bit more compassionate and understanding but I have to admit to some feelings of schadenfreude about this.

I have never been one of Ann’s fan base. I’ve always had the feeling that she was more of an entertainer than a serious pundit. Her gimmick was saying outrageous things that got her a lot of publicity, got her talked about a lot, got her invited onto a lot of shows (and to a lot of parties) and of course, sold a lot of books.

In other words, she milked the Conservative base of the country for bucks, and took them laughing to the bank.

It’s only now that we are finding out her real positions. I honestly expect her to come out as bi soon. Her embrace of GOP Proud would make a lot more sense then.

"No one is claiming that the Constitution gives each person an unalienable right not to buy insurance."

Ann, your sentence is incoherent. Unalienable rights do not come from the Constitution. They come from GOD. Government has no authority to abrogate them or take them away. That's why they are called unalienable, Ann.

Maybe you agree with those nitwit Federal judges who upheld the Constitutionality of ZeroCare, reasoning that a decision of private parties NOT to do something constitutes activity which can be regulated by the Federal government under the Commerce Clause because a decision NOT to engage in activity involves MENTAL activity.

Ann, if you want the Federal government to have power over your mental activity, you are insane. Put down the bong, the cocaine or whatever it is you're on and get help soon.

Even if Newt wants this kind of plan (and it is constitutionally dubious, a matter that the USSC is hearing now) this does not seem to be like the Obamacare parallel at all, which would be like requiring auto insurance that changes your oil, overhauls your engine, etc.

Man she is sure pushing it. Also when states required that, there didn’t exist the complications of today’s incorporated Federal civil rights (so, for example, a state could also have a favored state church).

“Well regulated” in the old fashioned language of the 2nd amendment would translate to “well drilled” or “well practiced” today. It’s not what liberals would think of today when they want a thing to be “well regulated” meaning nannies can say no to it on a plethora of excuses.
