Newt Gingrich will attend a presidential candidate forum Saturday in Winter Park, site of a tea party rally.
The rally, one of three events by Tea Party Express today, will be held in front of Aloma Church at 1:30 p.m. The church is at 1815 State Road 436.
It is also the location for the First Awake! Presidential Candidate Forum and Q&A. So far, Gingrich is the only candidate who has committed to attend.
Amy Kremer, head of Tea Party Express, said her group's bus tour, which started in Jacksonville Saturday morning, will make its third and final stop of the day in West Palm Beach, at 1302 Parker Ave.
The bus tour continues Sunday. See itinerary here.
This is a great opportunity to inform the American people that there is a free-market solution to get the economy on the right track and that the presidents actions have not accomplished what he has promised, Kremer concluded
It is getting interesting.
Word on the ground and on the airwaves is that Newt’s crowds are dwarfing everybody’s. It has also been noted at FR.
However, Mitt seems to have a slight silent majority, according to most polls. It appears that this will be the first Primary state where, both because of its size and its diversity, turnout will genuinely make a difference. Can we get every panhandle vote? Can we convince enough Santorum backers in Florida to follow their candidate’s example and give up on just Florida, if not on the campaign as a whole, and join forces to beat Romney in the Sunshine State?
Newt needs to close hard, maximize turnout, and finish strong. We need to help anyway we can!
Do we have any boots on the ground who can tell us about the crowds yesterday and today? Where are the TEa Partiers down there?
Has the Tea Party Express come out for Newt? Is he on this bus tour? I thought he was.
The fact that Newt Gingrich -- a presidential candidate -- will attend this rally says all we need to know about him.
Go Newt!!
Turnout is CRUCIAL in Florida. Remember, a lot of people had already voted by mail before Gingrich became a factor.
GO NEWT!!!
There is a photo of Newt pouring tea into the Potomac back in the 80’s for some event ... wish I knew how to post pics on ehre.
Newt is the original . . .
I believe the moderator, Mat Staver (Liberty Council, has endorsed Newt!
We picked Newt here in South Carolina so he gets the nomination.
This is all just fliff fluff—UNLESS Obama resigns in disgrace and appoints Sarah Palin as his successor.
But then Obama would have to cease being an evil Marxist demon sent by Lucifer to savage America—which ain't likely I reckon.
I know Santorum verbally is not giving up on FL, but by leaving FL, he is. Let’s hope the Santorum supporters realize that stopping Mitt is crucial and that they will vote Gingrich, rather than voting ineffectively for Santorum. Probably won’t happen, but one can always hope and pray. Also, the Dems keep saying the Tea Party is on the decline or dead ..... the FL TP needs to shove that meme back in the Dems/GOP-e’s faces and get the vote out for Newt.
Now—at this late in the game—with all the negatives coming out to slaughter Newt. His only hope, our only hope, is the Tea Party. The MSM will not cover these events or will paint them as a meeting of racists and moonshiners drunk and staggering about. We need our people to cover the event and let us know that is happening so we can keep alive the flame of hope. Would that we had our own media—The Tea Party News.
Obama would never appoint Sarah Palin—Maybe Hillary Clinton.
You know, here’s the link to the article, in which it also states Romney predicted the Tea Party would turn on Newt. Pretty amusing.
The pic is from 1994!
(promise to read the posting tutorial later).
Whoa. Sorry — Newt is throwing tea into the Chatahoochee in Georgia — not the Potomac! lol.
What Mitt has is more than a silent majority - he has a GOP establishment machine behind him. All the more reason I pray Newt neuters Willard in FL!
“FREAKIN’ AWESOME!
The fact that Newt Gingrich — a presidential candidate — will attend this rally says all we need to know about him.”
Did you see Greta interview him on the bus? She asked if he was anti-establishment. With no hesitation at all, he said firmly, “YES.”
On Tuesday I was listening to the Rob Johnson Show WGST-640 (Atlanta) in the morning and in the 7:00 am hour they had a leader from the Tea Party Express here in GA (Maybe it was Amy). She said that after the Dede mess in NY in 2010 Newt Gingrich actively sought out meetings with the Tea Party groups around the country to discuss and gain input. Newt had been very active in seeking Tea Party support over the past year.
As a result, most Tea Party groups are rallying around Newt. Santorum is less an option because the Tea Party is not currently concerned with social issues like Santorum is focused on.
So those who got elected with the help of the Tea Party including Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley risk alienating the Tea Party.
that is GREAT. Thanks for the link. Who knew? He truly was and is a visionary.
If one had any previous reservations between Newt and Romney, the fact that the GOP elite/establishment (and media) is so overwhelmingly backing Newt should be reason enough to RUN FROM ROMNEY !!
Last night’s Greta was very good for Newt. It gave him an opportunity to state the fact that Romney lies in the moment (i.e. at the debates) forgetting that there is a tomorrow where his lies will be exposed.
I honestly believe it was Romney’s operatives that forced Herman Cain out.
I meant overwhelmingly backing ROMNEY (oops).
I live in WP!!! I’ll be there.
PS .... Here's how it turned out! Pic at post 36
ANyone with an I pod that can report in from the site? If so make this a live thread.
Crap. Didn’t work.
Did you see Greta last night on Newt’s bus....Absolutely awsome....links were put on the live thread
Pam Bondi also exposed herself later in the program....she’s a whore...of the political variety,
Mark Levin the other night was just ranting about the orchestrated, vicious Romney/GOP-e attack on Newt. He said one of the things that really bothered him about Romney was that he doesn't learn from his mistakes, as evidenced by Romney's stubborn insistence on defending the indefensible ..... Romneycare. He said Newt had supported a mandate at one time, but has realized his error, admitted it (this is important!) and moved on. It looks like the Tea Party/Dede thing was another learning moment for Newt ... I'm very glad to hear this. BTW - who else won't admit mistakes and clings to ideology/policies that don't work, even in the face of massive evidence to the contrary? Obama. Romney is proving every day he is Obama-lite on most issues.
Try again. Remember to have the brackets at both ends.
< >
Maggie, can you get the picture and post it for all of us to use?
Newt knows where the bodies are buried because he has been in that graveyard and risen out of it. Folks trust that he will shake thing up and knows how to do it.
Thanks!! I had success yesterday, you can see it at the link in my post.
“I know Santorum verbally is not giving up on FL, but by leaving FL, he is.”
This is exactly the case, Miss Magnolia. Newt is quietly rising the Tea Party and grassroots conservatives. Romney’s negative carpetbombing and over the top use of mailers is viewed by the public of a rich, arrogant guy trying to buy the election. Romney has spent a ridiculous amount of money here and it is so blatant that it draws attention to his own weakness. This is so transparent.
When you look at Newt’s campaign stops coming up the next 2 days you see that he is going after the real grassroots conservatives. Rick Santorum’s decision to stand down and leave is a way for him to quietly concede while maintaining his dignity. It’s all there. Early voting ends today. From here on, it’s the weekend to Tuesday to bring out the vote. The polls will show the race tightening by Monday. Look for it! Newt is taking the ground game, and with Rick no longer distracting the conservatives, Newt’s numbers will climb.
And why are they silent? Dumb as@es know they made a mistake and are embarrassed to admit they already voted on ballots.
Wel, it’s said Romney brings in $50,000 a day NOT working. So he’s got boatloads of cash throw at any who might stand in his way.
To Say Romney’s a crook is understated...he is vile!

I have wondered if Romney will reach the point of oversaturation...the point where it begins to p!ss people off.
Rick Santorum is "tired and broke" and has gone home to Pennsylvania to "do his taxes". Rick knows, and every Florida Santorum supporter should know that Rick has no chance of WINNING the 50 winner-take-ALL delegates Tuesday in Florida. But he will be the spoiler if his FL supporters hang on, and that throws ALL 50 delegates to the liberal ROMNEY. Rick's advisers are guarding his campaign checkbook, trying to keep a skeleton campaign alive in case Gingrich or Romney implode in later states. http://news.yahoo.com/tired-broke-santorum-heads-home-taxes-084655933.html So Santorum Floridians, please take the hint and do NOT toss your 50 delegates to ROMNEY! MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT TOWARD DELEGATES to the most viable conservative! |
From your post to God's ears ..... thanks!
Levin was magnificent in that take down. The only one I have heard who has after Bloody Thursday.
BTTT!
This is so important because Newt is getting very good local press, the kind you don’t see on the cable nets. Conservatives are smart - they see what is going on. Newt is surging again!
A friend just told me she has a ticket to Newt’s event and it’s at 3:30 at the same location. Is it a different event?
