"The illegals I met last night."
Self | 1/1/2012 | Bern Pearson

Posted on 01/01/2012 8:10:22 AM PST by Gen.Blather

I met some illegal Mexicans last night at a party. Several years ago I stayed with a couple of wonderful Mexican families in the Baja below California. These were well-off people. The homes, on average were beautifully tiled and some of them had mahogany inlaid walls, bookshelves and cabinetry that would cost a hundred-thousand dollars here. So, I’m guessing if they aren’t rich they’re very comfortable. The elderly not as well-off grandfather, while living in Mexico was receiving Social Security from the United States and owned a rent-free apartment in California which he used as his address to receive several forms of assistance checks from Californian agencies. He visited the apartment once a week to re-arrange things and make it looked lived in. He had a car, a Toyota Corolla that looked quite nice and had working air-conditioning. I gathered it was supplied as some form of assistance and he generally left it in California at the apartment. The apartment was about 1100 square feet and very livable. The grandfather told me most of entire complex, easily a 1000 units, were like him, on Californian assistance, but actually living in Mexico.

At the party were a couple of teenage boys from this family. Very nice kids. I’d be proud to have them as my own; diligent, hard working, trouble-free and much more adult than you’d expect from that age. They told me that they’d decided to go to high school in California instead of Mexico. They said that the (California) government gave them an apartment and they travel back to Mexico on the weekends. (I don’t know if they’re staying alone or if a family member is staying with them, but if I had to guess, they came alone.)

When I posted information on this family last time, Freepers angrily asked why I hadn’t reported them. Firstly, I was a well-treated guest. Secondly, this must be obvious to the casual observer. Even if I knew who to report it to in California, which I don’t, it is obvious that this is how it’s done. These people are only taking advantage of “benefits” put there for them. Not to avail themselves of these benefits would be like deciding not to take candy freely offered to you.

To comment would be — reckless at the moment.

If someone supports and “celebrates” shop lifters getting “free candy,” do they share the guilt?

“Free candy” is being provided intentionally to attract illegals.

Good on you and your wife! It’s sad that your family wanted you to compromise your morals.

Go back and read Blather's comments. He approved of their taking the "free candy."

Why isn't Blather/Dane responding?

LOL That brings back memories of one of the worst open borders creeps that ever posted on FR. The person was/is nothing more than a despicable example of the abuse of tolerance I have ever seen.

And, yes, "Gen. Blather's" post reminds me of him.

Dane often seemed to use sock puppets to give support/cover for his propaganda. Both mas cerveza por favor and Gen.Blather have gone silent.

It's getting curiousor and curiousor.

But why do they hold loyalty to a nation that treats them as undesirables? Why still wave the Mexican flag if your own people don’t want you there? I just want them to start thinking about it.

Bill Gates is slowly dispersing his wealth. I don’t hear about Carlos Slim doing that.

People unwilling to make the effort to prosper gladly treat with contempt those who make the effort and prosper. This is especially true when the prosperous one provides their means for survival.

Isn't the U.S. wonderful for providing both their succor and their object of contempt?

You’re right! I saw a PJTV webisode about that: it’s envy, a condition as old as humanity.

LOL. I do not spend all day on FR. You did not really make a point worth responding to. The major issue is the governments' treasonous policy of displacing native-born Americans with Dem-voting foreigners and draining the treasury. You focused on the messenger, Gen.Blather, rather than the larger issue of national treason.

Besides, the point has already been made on this tread that governments would not respond to complaints because they are basically in cahoots with the illegal alien welfare abusers.

You should really work on your grammar. I tend to key in on writing styles. Old training sticks.

Your claim - You focused on the messenger, Gen.Blather, rather than the larger issue of national treason.

You are ignoring my main argument. Blather voiced approval for the illegals taking their "entitlements (sic)." Would you cheer a shoplifter? That's what Gen.Blather did. He praised the illegals for taking taxpayer subsidized handouts. If someone took your hungry child's meal and gave it to a squatter next door, would you exclaim that they are justified in having a "free lunch?"

You are a retread dirtbag celebrating theft. Call it "free candy," but nothing is free. The illegals you love are being given handouts from my pocket. Keep your dirty, socialist, invader loving hand out of my pocket. Capiche?

I'm not blaming him for the handouts; I'm condemning him for his approval.

Hmmm... Imagine going from a FReeper handle with a 6 Aug 98 sign up date to one with the date of 14 May 09, or even worse 2 Aug 10. A lot of paleos point to their sign up dates to prove their freep-cred. The loss must really sting.

Stay classy!

Let me get this right. Basically, if criminals are “nice” to you, then their criminality is to be excused. Did I get that correct?
