Bachmann is snow white. And the others are the 7 dorks.“

Maybe that's how she came up with this ridiculous fairy tale:

I had a mother last night come up to me here in Tampa, Florida, after the debate,” Bachmann said. “She told me that her little daughter took that vaccine, that injection, and she suffered from mental retardation thereafter.”

“Over 60 million people will be watching the debates next October. Ask yourself honestly, who do you want opposing Obama in those debates? Who is most likely to shred Obama to pieces? There’s only one guy and it’s not hard to figure out. Don’t let the “experts” tell you who to vote for and who is electibility. The country will be most influenced by who wins those debates next year. Put your strongest candidate out there. Unleash NEWT!”

I watched Newt on the first few debates and said “yeah, great debater... but he’s got a fatal flaw... he’s HIM.”

Then I let go of that and said “who do I find myself cheering for most of the time during these things?” After that it was a no-brainer.

Am I still happy with Gingrich as our candidate? No. But I’m not happy with anyone else EITHER. As far as I’m concerned, we have no good choices.

What I DON’T want to see, however, is our candidate chosen by the media and pundits - which is EXACTLY what I’ve been seeing the past day or two. “Oh, Newt’s on top? Let’s see how long it takes us to destroy him! Ha, ha, ha!” — and this, mostly, from people who are supposed to be on OUR side (not to mention lots of people right here on Free Republic).

So who’s that leave us with? A completely unelectable nobody like Santorum, who couldn’t even win his own STATE, or a substandard candidate like Bachmann or Perry... who already HAD their 15 minutes of fame, and failed to catch on... or that ranting old nutcase, Paul, who would be the Democrat’s dream candidate to run against...?

I guess she figures Mittens will buy more ads? I am however sick of hearing that our choices are between Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney and that all other candidates are finished.

There is one problem with Gingrich in the debates against Obama. Everyone knows that Gingrich would (or should) clobber Obama. But that’s the crux of the problem. Expectations are so high for Gingrich that if Obama comes through the debates still standing without humiliating himself, he’s “won”, and that’s how the MSM will portray it.

Santorum is good - glad he’s still in the race.

Yeah! And if he wins the nomination, he can pick Arlen Specter as his veep... and lose his own state.

I had to change the channel for a few minutes after the vomit-worthy, illegal alien-loving Bloomberg started beseeching us to open our borders for survival's sake. O'Reilly was wearing his detached but fair-minded persona, as if to the manor born.

Ah, the view from the terrace....the air must be thin up there.
