Palin: Politicians’ Insider Trading Should be Illegal
National Review Online ^ | December 13, 2011 | Katrina Trinko

Last month, Rick Perry proposed that it be classified as a criminal activity if any senator or House member traded stocks based on insider knowledge. So far, the issue seems to have garnered relatively little attention, but Sarah Palin is out with a USA Today op-ed on the same topic, stressing the need to make the practice illegal.

Rick Perry on Congressional Insider Trading [:24]

******************

Nov. 13, 2011: “Pelosi fires back at ‘60 Minutes’ report on ‘soft corruption’”

“Pelosi and her husband participated in an initial public offering of Visa in 2008, according to CBS. They bought 5,000 shares at the initial price of $44; two days later, shares were trading at $64, CBS said.”.......... Source

Pelosi Bashes Catholics: 'They Have This Conscience Thing'... “After having some of her behind the scenes shenanigans exposed, Nancy Pelosi has turned to her friends in the MSM to help her with damage control. The effect is something akin to watching what scrambles out after you overturn a large rock.

Pelosi sought to defend herself from allegations that she and her husband made millions from insider trading in what the Washington Post calls a wide ranging interview……..

……Pelosi added a startling, if inadvertent, admission. Addressing the effects such [ObamaCare] legislation would have on Catholic health care providers, Pelosi said:

"I'm a devout Catholic and I honor my faith and love it . . . but they have this conscience thing."…….

If you remember, one of the major points of the Contract with America was that members of Congress were to be held to the same laws as the rest of U.S. Citizens.

That was 14 years ago. From 2001-06 the GOP held both houses of Congress and the Presidency and could have easily enacted this, had they wanted to.

Now, Eric Cantor is holding insder trading legislation for Congress up.

I’m more concerned about what the congresscritters do with OUR money, than what they do with their’s, but they should have to live under the same laws as the rest of us.

[:31] YouTube: Politically Correct Washington is the capital of political correctness where double speak reigns and the truth is frowned upon. You can't say that congressmen becoming lobbyists is a form of legal corruption, or that we give aid money to countries who oppose America or that Washington insiders are bankrupting Social Security. You and I know it's true but it's not politically correct." -- Gov. Rick Perry.

I wonder if botox suppresses one’s value system and or makes one delusional?

As has been stated before, Republicans are just one wing of the Progressive Party. Nominating Gingrich will reinforce this fact. All of the Tea Party rhetoric will have been for naught. McCain pre-Tea Party, Gingrich post-Tea party.

We have not progressed one bit.

You dpn’t have to make it illegal..merely require, as EVERY principal employee of any brokerage firm is required to do, to have them post online the same day ANY trade or financial transaction into which they enter..that will solve the problem..

That effects stock trading on companies with pending legislation but doesn’t stop the “gifting” of IPO stocks, and legislation doesn’t cover options trades, exchange traded funds, mutual funds or just trading the information.

Be more specific. Spell it out. Give us the dirt. Spill the beans. I know Kay Bailey Hutchison and the Rove-Bush primary machine/ Bill White general election campaign certainly tried (including whispering that he is gay and all that BS)......and he won — again.

I’m sure they’re going to put that first on their “legislation to do ASAP” calendar. /S

Back as the Perry-alone-attack- machine, and still without a candidate to call your own?

Again, tell us who you’re for, so we can bask in his/her perfection.

Methinks we would be even better off if we knew who you are and why you are doing this.

See how that works...we’ll be the judge of you.

Here’s the judgement...

What is needed is a link to a pre-canned laugh track when you show up with your little hidden agenda crusade.
