This is the main problem with Newt:

Rasmussen: Obama 45%, Gingrich 40%

They are not "conservative" pundits.

Long ago they have been turned by the dark side......inside the beltway.

The fact that the Tea Party overwhelmingly supports Newt is clear evidence where true conservatives stand.

Newt is not the perfect candodate, but he towers over his tiny colleagues in almost any comparison.

The article mentions Brooks, Krauthammer, will, Noonan and Gerson. It seems they forgot to Kathleen Parker and fat little Luntz.

The article cites David Brooks, Ramesh Ponnuru, George Will, Charles Krauthammer, Michael Gerson, and Peggy Noonan.

So where are the conservatives? All I see here are RINOs (and Krauthammer’s a Democrat, isn’t he?) who are all in the tank for Romney.

A more accurate title might be “Romney groupies tun down Newt”, which is pretty much a “dog bites man” story.

“Gingrich’s strength is that Republicans see him, by and large, as a conservative. An erratic conservative, yes, but a conservative at heart. They don’t see Romney quite the same way,” Barnes said.

So the one good thing that is said about Newt, by people who were paid to watch him over the past couple decades, is that he may be successful at fooling enough gullible Republicans to vote for him in the primary.

We were fooled by Ralph Reed.
We were fooled by Tom DeLay.
We were fooled by Grover Norquist.
We were fooled by W.

We WILL be fooled again ... and we will love/hate/wallow in it when our foolishness is revealed to us!

What? Politico? They lost their credibility when they used stories from street whores to beat up on Mr. Cain.

We don't need their kind 'round here NO MORE!

David Brooks would like Newt better if he creased his pants and had more effeminate traits. Other than Huntsman, what alternative to Romney would Brooks want? He may be looking for an excuse not to vote for obama again, but not really. Same goes for other so called “Republican elites.” Which alternative do they want to pull out of the magic hat?

Any conservative alternative beats Romney. Who is it going to be? People are getting disappointed from shooting star shock.

I don’t want him. I’d happily vote for Bachmann or Santorum.

I’m not surprised at so-called conservatives on Free Republic who have trashed them.

We’ll wind up with an unelectable RINO and Obama will win a second term.

Conservatives swagger about supporting a conservative but won’t support a candidate with a proven conservative record.

We’ll either get Gingrich or Romney. Uggghhhh!

That whore brooks sold out more that ten years ago, and he is as much a conservative as is paul begala or david gergen.

Just another fag boy that wants to go to the parties and his invitation is his "conservative credentials" that are always willing to dump on whatever the conservative position happens to be, and therefore can be quoted as a "differing conservative opinion".

PIMP! WHORE! C.........
