I think he should learn to keep his mouth shut when he’s angry. Maybe he should consider counting to 100 BEFORE he speaks. To give up after something like this indicates to me that he’s not too serious about fixing the problems, but instead is doing it for show (no pun intended in re: to the fact that his conspiracy show was taping it all...).

Maybe this isn’t the complete story of the saga; there could have been an initial motion crucial to moving the case forward that got denied, and so Ventura would need to take that issue to the appeals court before going further. If he just ignored that and kept peppering the original court with motions, then he had a stupid lawyer or was trying a DIY job without having any idea what he was about.

I’d sympathize with Ventura up to a point but when he starts looking like Orly Taitz crossed with a windmill tilter, he looks like he’s lost his gourd. Didn’t even try to push it up to the USSC before blowing his nose on the flag? Good grief.

I think that Jesse should take this on the circuit court of appeals and let it go up to the SCOTUS. I don’t personally blame the guy. In his profession he may have to fly every week and now he gets to face a sexual grope down every week when the metal detector goes off.

Scratch an out-of-control celebrity and you’ll find a major drug problem.

I don’t care one way or the other where Ventura lives, but it seems to me that you all are way to quick to put down somebody who is at least trying to oppose the trashing of the US constitution. We are rapidly losing the right to privacy, the presumption of innocence, and the doctrine of probably cause, all in the name of protecting us from the bogey man of terrorism. Dopn’t ever confuse loving your country with loving your government.

I agree. Jesse is a real douche bag, but this isn't the rope to hang him with.

I’ll chip in to buy him a one-way ticket to Mexico if there is a way to confiscate his passport.

The former governor can, however, be credited with generating one of the few humorous quips I can recall from David Letterman:

"Jesse Ventura...the only candidate to receive the endorsement of Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan."

Ventura’s outraged by the violation of his Constitutional rights, and so he’ll moved to Mexico?!

Is this man firing on all cylinders?

Grant it, his complaint is valid. Airport security conduct violates our Constitutional rights, but to move to Mexico?!

Leave you coward. True patriots will fight for America. It’s the government you should be angry at, not America. I suggest you go read the book “Man Without A Country”. Keep your sorry a** down in Mexico. I understand you were a dolphin or tuna or some sort of aquatic creature. You repeat it every two minutes in an interview.

If I remember correctly, you are basically correct. Back when Jesse went through BUDs the graduates were split up between UDT and SEAL. Jesse went to a UDT team. If you were sent to a SEAL team back then, you had to go through weeks of special schooling (Ranger, Airborne, Special Forces, etc.) before you were actually ON a team.

You could say that SEALs and UDT had the same basic training at that time, but Jesse knows the difference and chose to claim to be a Navy SEAL because they have a bigger “hollywood” image. To the uninitiated, it’s not that big of a deal, but to those in the units, it is.

Thanks GR_Jr.
Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura... threatened Friday to apply for dual citizenship so he can spend more time in his beloved Mexico -- or run for president of what he labeled "the Fascist States of America." ...The former Navy SEAL said he had lost his patriotism. "I will never stand for a national anthem again. I will turn my back and I will raise a fist," he said.
I'll raise two middle fingers if ever I see that pathologically self-centered blowhard.
