WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain has hauled $1 million in donations in recent days, a spokesman said on Thursday, despite accusations of sexual harassment that have consumed his campaign.

The former pizza executive's fundraising took a jump once his ascent in the polls began about a month ago. He brought in $2 million in the first two weeks of October. Until then, he had raised about $5.2 million after entering the race in May.

His not being party to the settlements doesn’t matter. His statement over the airwaves to everyone concerned says that he’s willing to have everything out in the open.

Newt’s comments on this photo..I have a different view. I think it’s important to be on the stage, to engage in the debate, and to communicate our position clearly. There is a big difference between left-wing environmentalism that wants higher taxes, bigger government., more bureaucracy, more regulation, more red tape, and more litigation and a Green Conservatism that wants to use science, technology, innovation, entrepreneurs, and prizes to find a way to creatively invent the kind of environmental future we all want to live in. Unless we start making the case for the latter, we’re going to get the former. That’s why I took part in the ad.

NOW! you tell me why Cain voted for Clinton/Gore (the head greenie) and why he donated money to two liberal democrats AFTER he joined the gop...I want to know how you will spin that.

Clinton/Gore demoralized our country and our military. They were a disgrace. YOUR man donated to LIBERALS AFTER HE JOINED THE GOP..as for Beasley and Rainbow Push of GA supporting Cain today...they just might. Cain is a rino...Reagan never donated a dime to the dems after he joined the gop. Do not compare Cain with Reagan..it is an insult

No need to spin it. It was years ago.

Unlike the photo and your spin...

You really are trying to hard...

What's up with that...

A ton of conservatives know all the crap you are posting and yet we back him fully because we very well know where he has stood for some time. We know Reagan voted and supported Democrats AT AN EARLIER TIME. We know his donations to REPUBLICANS out strips his donations to two democrats by $350K to $1000. Yup a sure sign of a RINO LOL...

So I gotta go “hum...”

Thanks I needed that...

They did...OH and here is the reason Cain donated to democrats...sounds kind of like a sell out to me...All but one of Cain’s contributions to Democrats went to candidates in Nebraska, where Godfather’s Pizza, the company Cain led from 1986 to 1996, had been headquartered for more than 35 years: In 1993, Cain gave $500 to former Nebraska Gov. Bob Kerrey and $250 to New York Rep. Jose Serrano. In 1994, Cain wrote a check for $500 to former Nebraska Rep. Peter Hoagland. Two years later, he gave $500 to Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson and in 1998, he donated another $500 to Omaha newscaster Michael Scott’s campaign for Congress.

“They were business decisions and personal decisions,” Cain told The Ticket when asked about the donations to Democrats. “One was a restaurateur. One was a personal friend. All moderate Democrats.”

Vote for your rino. I would bet you that many from his church (who are members of Rainbow Push) will support him and as I stated...NO conservative has ever had their support in the past and NO conservative would have voted for Clinton/gore

I was reading some posts by Perrybots on facebook today and apparently they think posting long rants that basically communicate "Cain sucks" over and over is somehow going to revive their guy's sagging poll numbers. Hilarious especially considering 1) Cain isn't my first choice, 2) Sexual harassment accusation or not, either way he's STILL a better choice than the GWB clone from Texas who can't debate his way out of a paper bag.

And weren't the Perrybots insisting we were ALL Ron Paul supporters and/or 'purists' a few monthes ago? Then why bash Cain? According to their logic, anyone who's against Perry wouldn't be supporting him. They'd be backing Ron Paul and/or a "100% perfect" candidate. Bwahahaha.

Perry supporters have accused me of being for Paul. That got old when I provided links proving I am a critic of Paul. They then accused anyone who wasn't drinking the Perry Kool-Aid of deliberately helping Romney because, as they put it, Perry was the only man who could stop Romney. Never mind that Perry had no chance and was dropping like a rock, they thought so.

We now find ourselves with a solid candidate who is ahead of Romney and thus posing a serious threat to the Romney campaign. And the Perry supporters are trying to tear him down which can only help Romney. Keep in mind, Perry is now in single digits and still dropping so he has zero chance.

Support of Romney is not allowed at FR. But tearing down the only man who can defeat him is so that is the tack they have taken.

PerryBots would rather have Romney than Cain. They make that clear with nearly every post.

Indeed. They seem to use the tactics they accuse others of using. One of which is helping Romney by tearing down the most visible conservative opponent. Another example is a Perrybot whined about how "it's not a smear to post an article about Cain's statements". I said posting the article ITSELF wasn't a smear, his swarmy remark about how Cain "suffers from memory problems" was. This is the same Perrybot who screamed about how it WAS an unfair "smear" when I quoted Perry's statement on the Mexican border and Vicente Fox vebatium, without adding any commentary of my own.

Ironic, isn't it?

I think if Obama having a gay affair with Larry Sinclair and doing cocaine didn't sink Obama, it's hard to see how a hand gesture to an anonymous person perceived as sexual harassment hurts Cain.

He said he did!!!!!!!!!! it is a fact and he said it was a mistake...he later switched over to the republican party but even after he made the switch he donated money to two liberals in Nebraska.
