I just returned from the Alabama Republican Women’s Meeting where Mr. Cain spoke. I’ll post an after-action report in the AM. Mr. Cain is impressive.

Yes, I’ll ping you and anyone else who lets me know. I taped his talk and try to give a summation. I also had my picture taken with Mr. Cain. I’ll post that later when I get it.

Amazing how the supposedly racist TEA Party embraced him in a heartbeat as soon as Perry stepped on it.

I might like Cain/Gingrich or Gingrich/Cain. I really like Newt and after Clinton and Obama, how can the Dem’s claim moral superiority over Newt. He is the smartest one on the GOP side. Plus he knows how to get stuff done in Congress.

Is this his ‘dial it back’ strategy?

I think that refers to a sense that he needs to get more rest and continue to be laser-like in his focus. Losing sleep and a breakneck schedule are a recipe for disaster in unforced errors. He can't afford at this critical juncture to appear to be uninformed or impulsive and some of the sleepy headed comments he's made seem exactly that.

The elite establishment and their lapdogs in the MSM are just waiting to pounce. Once they lock on to something that will resonate negatively they will grind it until he's forced out of the race. Remember the initially innocuous "DEAN SCREAM?" That was a nothing sound byte but once it took, Howard Dean was toast. That's the kind of thing he has to avoid.

I doubt that Mr. Cain's a "screamer" but all he needs is one little comment in the same vein and they'll grind him into the dust. Dial back? Naaaah. But he needs his rest and his focus to avoid a misstep because TPTB won't let him escape, once he falls into the spider's web.

Please ping me also. I contribute to our police blogs in Chicago, and we need to get the word out about Herman Cain.

With the evil likes of oboma in Washington and Rahm Emanuel as Mayor! of Chicago, Illinois needs help and the citizens are looking for that help and asking questions...generational democrats/socialists in this state are not happy with their “hope and change.” They are angry and at the same time they say it's hopeless to think that a Republican and/or Conservative can win in Illinois. Well, I can say that the cops have their eyes and ears open and want to make some changes...they're fed up. Go Herman GO!

People do like a President who is both capable and has a good sense of humor like President Reagan did.

There are two admirable qualities about about Cain's sense of humor. 1) He is able to laugh at himself; and 2) He does not ridicule others in order to get a laugh.

Unlike Zero who has to make fun of every opponent or opposite idea in order to build his own self-esteem...so shallow and tacky. Cain's sense of humor is mature and totally opposite of the way Obama tries to make fools of others. A person who is confident and genuine does not have to tear people down by making sarcastic and caustic comments. Only someone who is filled with fear and envy; who has no real or original ideas -- like the immature street bully we have in the White House now -- is ignorant enough to stoop to the practice of ridicule in order to advance himself or his agenda. Just listen to Obama...every time he speaks he is being a smart-arse and thinking he is clever and funny. What a sorry creature he is.

I’m a Cain supporter but I’m also a realist.

I'm a realist too so I'm having trouble with the 999 plan. I like it. But it's a gimmick because we know it'll never pass congress or be deemed constitutional. The federal sales tax component is the problem. Further any honest assessment of Cains recent comments concerning abortion and you'll see he's really pro-choice.

Bingo, and he's doing what the others are probably scared of trying.
That would be facing the public music. Remember the Rats trying
this when Zerocare was being forced on America?
