Hastert's leadership led to a huge Democrat majority, just as Romney's led to an even farther left wing regime in Massachusetts. I can see why they are popular with Democrats, but not why any Republican would follow them.

I think Hastert carries more responsibility for ‘Rat electoral gains in 2006 and 2008 than any other individual.
From 2004 to 2006 the GOP-controlled House of Representatives was a disgrace to our nation and Hastert was the worst of the lot.
