Former House Speaker Dennis Hastert, of Illinois, today endorsed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

“During my years in the House, I was an advocate for balanced budgets and low taxes,” Hastert said in a statement. “Mitt Romney stands up for these principles….From his success in the private sector, Mitt Romney understands how to create jobs and turn around this economy.”

Hastert was speaker from 1999 to 2007.

Good for Mitty. That’s about as exciting as Helen Thomas in a bikini.

UGH..

I’ve decided that when the RNC calls again asking where my latest donation is, my response will be:
It’s in an envelope on the counter. Get behind a conservative and I’ll send it.

The fix is in. The question remains: will we let it happen again?

Who’s next? Olympia Snow? Chaffee? Schwarzenegger? Arlen Specter? Charlie Crist? McCain? Graham?

The RNC just called me this evening for a donation. I told them to pound sand unless they could back a conservative. Not one penny until.

Hastert is one of the main reasons we are in the shape we find ourselves in right now. Curse him.

Well shine up the crown, let the coronation begin!
RINOs, the MSM, and the DNC have - once again - chosen the Republican candidate.

Like has been said many times, if you turn down the sound, it looks like Mittens is trying to close the deal for a used BMW.

A RINO endorses an Uber RINO. There’s been a lot of that lately.

They see that we are just not supporting Romney. will not support him, and are terrified. The fix is in.

Not this time.

Yet another beltway bass-turd chimes in for Mittens. Great. Yeah, I'm feeling really good about that two faced RINO now.

You show much more restraint than me. I send a list of complaints against the RNC...in BIG letters...stating why I'll not send one, red cent until they rid themselves of RINO's like McConnell and Boehner!!

Hastert? Really? New low for Mittens.

That speaks volumes. Withered, dead, deteriorated volumes, but volumes. I will crawl over broken glass to vote against the distinction without a difference ticket.

Amen. It is so laughable that a Hastert endorsement is supposed to be a GOOD thing. Makes me hate this situation even more - somebody is trying to set up a stampede and a feeling that Romney is "inevitable" and they sure as hell don't have our best interests at heart. What's the rush to proclaim a nominee? Mischief is afoot.
