You can’t be half asleep and go after another candidate. It just didn’t happen the way you are portraying it. Perry himself - at a frat house afterward - admitted he sucked at debates.

This lack of reality among Perry supporters is truly uncanny.

I’m avoiding nothing. Certainly nothing worth noting.

By the way, PPP is going to release a national poll tomorrow that has Perry behind Newt.

I know Rick raised a good bit of money last quarter, but you may want to put the old resume on Monster just to be safe.

I don’t believe he’s particularly interested in winning. If he was, he’d be doing his homework and would be alert and aggressive during televised debates. I’m not sure HE knows what he wants.

Perry was the only person on the stage that went after Mitt Romney. Whether or not he was successful has nothing to do with the fact that he DID go after him. He is also the only one attacking him in ads. You can deny these things if you like. That’s your choice, your alternate reality.

In fact, Perry is the only candidate that is even INTERESTED in beating Romney.

Isn't that the truth!

Yeah, I don’t know if he really ever wanted to do this in the first place.

His wife has been making the rounds here in upstate SC. He hasn’t bothered.

Perry did a good thing last night. Everyone got to see the other candidates suck up to Romney.

Yes, that's what I think some people are doing here, supporting Romney. They just won't come out and say it.

That’s what I’m hearing.

Fox News Alert: film footage of Rick Perry at the frat house (dressed nicely and not carousing) but saying the American Revolution took place during the 16th Century.

You Texans had better start boning up on the American Revolution and forget Texas for a minute. As Coriolanus once said: there are other worlds.

Hey DRey,
This the same Perry who says No to a border fence?
The same one who is for in state tuition for illegals kids?

Personally I get f-ing fed up with paying for all kinds of crappola for illegals. Medical, dental, housing, food stamps, and now I subsidize illegals freakin education, abortions, how about freaking funerals too?????

His message for years has been “play both ends against the middle on the border debate”.

That is, he's against building the wall, but for border security. For paying illegal aliens in state tuition breaks, but against illegal immigrants.

He calls on Obama to “send troops to the border” but does NOT mobilize the National Guard to do so (They are under his control, and this (national guarding) is what they are SUPPOSED to be doing, not fighting in foreign wars).

Are people fooled that easily? Apparently.

“do a little dance and lead the people on” is not only a line from a song in the hit “Best little Whorehouse in Texas” but a Perry Policy.

So, Joe, how is life in Florida? Did not know that you paid for any kids going to school in Texas. which by the way, pays for it’s government just like Florida with a state sales tax.

On a serious note, I suggest that everyone read the following report about Border Security:

http://www.texasagriculture.gov/vgn/tda/files/1848/46982_Final%20Report-Texas%20Border%20Security.pdf

It was written by two military experts who each have extensive experience. The report seems long, but one can get the meat of it by reading pages 9-15.

Note the recommendations.

DONT EVEN group us educated, conservative Texaians into the same group as Perry.

Yes, Texians is spelled right, and we KNOW both US and Texas history.

Comparing early US history vs Texas history, I would have to say that even in the 1800’s the US was double-dealing (already corrupt), while Texians were at least still true to liberty and justice for all.

Only a damn yankee would paint the whole state as uneducated.

You liberal dominated states are “real” smart, no?

Well, we generally DO know when the Revolution took place.

It’s nice that there are Texans who know something about American history in its colonial days. But Perry has just stepped in it and it’s going to be all over MSNBC and we’ll be hearing how dumb all Republicans are again.

Sheesh.
