Stand With Arizona
Party and ideological divisions are roiling America. Battles over the budget, taxes, jobs and energy have crippled Washington. But there is one issue that people across the political spectrum agree on: they oppose giving in-state tuition to illegal aliens.
According to the latest poll numbers, 69% of Americans oppose subsidizing those here illegally with in-state tuitions rates. 73% of Republicans oppose it - as one would expect. An even stronger 74% of Independents oppose it. But the same position resonates across ideological and ethnic lines too. 58% of Democrats oppose it too, as do an overwhelming 90% of Black Americans.
And contrary to media propaganda, even HISPANICS are "heartless", opposing in-state tuition for illegals, by 54%-28%.
So at tonight's debate, will "Ricky La Raza" Perry finally back down from the position that has derailed his campaign?
Or will he continue to stand with Gov. Jerry Brown - and against America?
Apparently 69% of my fellow Texans would prefer to support illegals on the dole as opposed to letting them pay their own way through college. Clearly 69% are...uninformed.
“heartless” fiends! /sarc
Every poll I’ve seen has shown that Americans are overwhelmingly against paying for, coddling, putting up with illegals. But clearly, it doesn’t matter what we want! The borders are still open; even when illegals do get deported, they waltz back in; and the demands for amnesty, in-state tuition, and other benefits for them do not let up. I feel like I and other Americans have been fighting, fighting, fighting for years, screaming and yelling, demanding, protesting, and voting in polls like this. We’ve made our wishes abundantly clear. But we just don’t matter anymore.
So, now those opposing in-state tuition for illegal aliens are not only “heartless” but “uninformed.”
You should run as Perry's VP, Fangtirl. There aren't many who want to volunteer to be a kamakazie’s co-pilot.

You live in a black and white world. Must suck to be you.
Cain is the only suicide mission on the stage.
Wrong, 69% of the citizens are willing to pay to round up the trash and send it home. Perry can go to the border and take the cuffs off.
That’s what a “REPUBLIC” is all about.
A nation of laws. Black and white.
A vast majority of Texans evidently didn't have a problem with the Texas Legislature deciding Texas residency requirements for tax paying Texans to get in-state tuition in Texas schools. If another state doesn't want it, don't have it.
There's only 1 person in this race who actually has to deal with this problem, and it isn't Romney, Cain, Bachmann, Huntsman, Paul, Newt, or Santorum. It's pretty easy for them to sit there a bitch bitch bitch when they aren't running a massive border state, nor having to allocate limited resources via a balanced budget requirement, nor having to deal with the Federal government refusing to help/do its mandated job.

I don’t know one person, Texan or otherwise, who prefers to support illegals on the dole. I don’t even know any illegals on the dole. The Illegals in Texas colleges have graduated from Texas high schools. They have applied for citizenship. They have passed the same entrance exams that all kids take. They pay in state tuition. It’s not free. That said, I still hate that it happens. I still don’t think it’s fair. I’m anxious to see the plan to send a 20-year old kid with two jobs “back” to a country where he/she has never lived. We’re not uninformed. We don’t prefer special treatment for illegals. It has been a major problem for the past fifty years and no one has arrived at a solution. I don’t blame my governor for the problems in Arizona. If another state has the solution, step up to the plate.
That legislation was passed in 2001. It was passed with a veto proof majority. This is nothing more than a hit piece on Governor Perry and it is insulting to call him LaRaza Rick.
This was a TX issue and has nothing to do with the Federal responsibility of securing the borders. Clearly, Obama has not done his job. The states can NOT deport illegals, only the feds can do that. Clearly you are uninformed.
Blame Obama. TX catches them and ICE releases them. TX has spent over 400 million dollars trying to police the border. Governor Perry has requested boots on the ground and aviation to be used on the 1200 mile border with Mexico. Obama has refused. I would suggest you blame him.
How so? I agree with everything you just said. I was already aware of this. How am I uninformed?
I didn’t suggest the states COULD deport. If they could, it would have happened by now. What’s your beef?
