Obama's strange sense of humor
American Thinker ^ | 9/26/11 | Ed Lasky

Believe it or not, Barack Obama is cracking jokes about the horrific fires in Texas. I guesshe won't be using Bill Clinton's old line, "I feel your pain," when people complain about the terrible economy. How presidential, how empathetic: At a Silicon Valley fundraiser Sunday, the president took a jab at Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry, saying that he's a "governor whose state is on fire, denying climate change." Aside from the fact that this is just a cheap political shot at the expense of Americans who are suffering, it is just not funny and weird.

Texas is in a drought. Probably the worst since the Great Dust Bowl. We are in a drought due to the same reasons as the dust bowl. La Nina is the reason. This is cooling in the Pacific Ocean. When the Pacific Ocean cools less moisture is sent aloft into the atmosphere. The prevailing winds are from the South West. Most of the rain that Texas receives is from the Pacific and not the Gulf of Mexico unless you are close to the Gulf.

In reality cooling in the Pacific is the cause of the high temps and lack of rain in Texas. What is worse and if the earth is headed into a prolonged cooling period, as sun activity indicates, this weather pattern will be repeated for a great number of years.

A hot Pacific is good for Texas. A cold Pacific makes Texas hot and dry.

Texas is in a terrible and historical drought. In many ways it is worse than the 50s... we have had just about no rain at all since October last year. Oak trees that are more than half a century old are dying in huge numbers. The ground is dry as talcum powder.

This is weather, not global warming. It happened in the teens, the 30s, the 50s and now.

The fires have been terrible. We had to evacuate in the middle of the night with just what we were wearing, the pictures and mementos we had put in the car and truck. Unlike so many others in our little town we were blessed with a home to come back to.

I would like to see the POS obastard have to evacuate the white house in the same way... permanently. The Chewbaca clone, kids, mother robinson and all.

FU obastard! I hate obastard with every fiber of my being. Psalms 37... may you rot in hell!
