Interview: Refugees will not be citizens of new state

BEIRUT: Palestinian refugees will not become citizens of a new Palestinian state, according to Palestine’s ambassador to Lebanon.

>

The ambassador unequivocally says that Palestinian refugees would not become citizens of the sought for U.N.-recognized Palestinian state, an issue that has been much discussed. “They are Palestinians, that’s their identity,” he says. “But … they are not automatically citizens.”

This would not only apply to refugees in countries such as Lebanon, Egypt, Syria and Jordan or the other 132 countries where Abdullah says Palestinians reside. Abdullah said that “even Palestinian refugees who are living in [refugee camps] inside the [Palestinian] state, they are still refugees. They will not be considered citizens.”

>

"...This is not a solution to the conflict. This is only a new framework that will change the rules of the game.”

They don't want a Palestinian state.

The UN gave them an opportunity for a Palestinian state when Israel was created, but they refused.

They simply want Israel to cease existing.

Besides which, there is already a Palestinian state; Jordan.

Then, I have to ask.

If all Palestineans are refugees and the refugees are not going to be citizens of this new state, then who?

What kind of double talk is this? It only proves that the Arabs aren't serious. Your analysis is correct. The “Palestinians” blew it in 1948. Palis have been pawns of the other Arab states since then. The other Arab states stoked hate for the Israels, supplied arms and training, and turned the Palis loose to kill Jews. The other Arab states filled Palis with the ridiculous belief they could drive the Israelis from Israel and into the sea. What idiots.

If the Palis need a state — go to Jordan. However, the Palis have so poisoned relations with Jordan as to be a non-starter. The attempted 1970 coup by the PLO to kill King Hussein and his entire family IS a small problem for the current Pali leadership. All this considering the Jordanian Army had orders to exterminate the Palestinians after their failed 1970 coup.

Just the opposite of what Israel does.....they want every single Jew to return home. Israel had 500K Jews when they were created and now it’s about 7MM. That’s the ROP for you.

I could see this kind of madness coming a mile away. Been saying it for years. What these hoodlums want is a PLO state, not a Palestinian state. They want a permanent PLO base - whether they fight or not is a different matter - the PLO is a mafia, they want a state to control the economic affairs, leech money off the West. The leaders of the PA want their state right now because they are old, most in their 80’s, and realize if they don’t get international recognition soon then they risk losing their positions and control over the industries, the graft, etc...

This headline is the most preposterous thing, but “the world” wants to rid itself of the “Palestinian Problem”, scapegoat the Jewish state, and really don’t care what they will get in voting for a PLO state. They don’t care that it won’t resolve the conflict it has to do with their own sense of guilt, justice - without reason, rationality. The PLO doesn’t want to solve the problems they claim they have - and why should they when they are this close to getting everything they want without doing one good deed for it?

When Oslo was signed it was signed with the PLO. The PLO was named the “sole representative of the Palestinian people” and they became the Palestinian Authority. Arafat became “President” instead of Terrorist. Israel agreed.

Now these PLO people are old, Arafat dead many years now. Abbas was Arafat’s #2 man. The PLO are the rulers of the West Bank. They live a pretty decent life in the West Bank. The West Bank is middle class, merchant class, educated people for the most part - ruled by the PLO who have done very well living off crime at first and now from donor money. They also enjoy relations with Israel, many Pal in the WB have Israeli jobs, trade with Israel etc.
The West Bank people are very different from the people in Gaza and the people who are in camps in Lebanon.

The PLO do not want a unified state, because then that means the million people from Gaza can just up and move into the West Bank, upset the balance, bring their radical views, and of course challenge the PLO rule. In Gaza Hamas threw out the PLO and so today that PA/PLO do not even have any control over the territory they claim to rule! (Yet they still want the world to recognize they have a state that rules over it, lol) They don’t want the people from Lebanon or Jordan or anywhere to have the right to move to the West Bank without their say so. They do not want to settle the refugee issue. They don’t want to settle any issue. They want a permanent PLO base, and whether they choose to fight Israel or not, remember that the PA have a great scam going on - they are a terrorist organization that has been granted recognition by every country and given billions and billions of dollars every year. That is what they want to hold onto. They don’t want to flood their country with uneducated, unemployed, poor “refugees”. They like things just the way they are. And you see how fast Hamas kicked their ass in Gaza (1 day) despite the fact that We and Israel and the west trained them, gave them guns etc they have become fat, lazy Arab welfare recipients who don’t want poor skinny radical Islamist welfare recipients to impinge on their rule, crowd their land, or threaten their rule.

Of course not, they'll be Israelis! No chance that Lebanon would offer citizenship to palestinians that have been there half a century.

...according to [the PLO's so-called] ambassador to Lebanon... "They are Palestinians, that's their identity... But … they are not automatically citizens... even [fake] refugees who are living in [fake refugee camps] inside the [bogus jihadist] state, they are still refugees. They will not be considered citizens."
