Rick Perry's pro-immigration Texas base
POLITICO ^ | MAGGIE HABERMAN

Posted on 09/04/2011 9:54:52 PM PDT by Tempest

POLITICO's Ken Vogel passes along an email sent by Perry contributor Norman Adams that contained a separate email from Steve Hotze, also a Perry bundler based in Texas. Both emails make donor solicitations that underscore Perry's position helping to kill a bill similar to the Arizona immigration legislation, for instance.

The upshot is that these are not necessarily positions that either primary and caucus voters know about Perry, or that will sit well with them.

As I noted in another post, it's not clear that immigration is the driver of voter interests in presidential primaries that some believe it to be. But it will be interesting to see how Perry tries to keep both his donor base of Texas businessmen, who tend to favor the immigrants who aid the state's economy, and voters happy.

” Looked into Perry’s background, didn’t like what I found. Maybe he should run for president of mexico, seeing as how he’s their biggest cheerleader. “

WELL STATED!

The Dallas News has done a nice job of updating the numbers on illegals in-state tuition, including a nice breakdown of the law. One of the points: they may be eligible for state aid. State aid... and where does THAT money come from, hmmm????

The Dallas News is a joke. they’ve ordered barrels of new ink for anti-Perry articles.

I wouldn’t believe any numbers they posted if they were written on my hand.

All these papers are good at manipulating data.

Trust me, you cannot trust the Dallas News on anything, except maybe sports scores. (I’d double check that if I were you)

I’m all out for Palin but it may turn out to be Perry.

Let’s leave the criticism of him to Obama and the MSM.

So then find numbers rebuking the ones they posted. They come straight from state agencies.

Is this all there is? Aren’t there ANY conservatives in business who can run? What ever happened to Thomas Monaghan of Dominos/Ave Maria? There must be someone who is successful and also hard right. Do we really have to hold our damn noses AGAIN and vote for another crony capitalist phony?

There should be a FR registry of the “NEVER VOTE FOR PERRY” posters. This will make allocate sharing of the crow dishes much easier after he’s nominated.

Otherwise refusing to vote for the most conservative GOP Nominee WILL be a vote to re-elect the WON.

GOOD HAIR BUDDIES----PERRY WITH MEXICO'S THEN-PRES VICENTE FOX

At a 2001 "border summit" in which he sucked up to Mexicans-----Perry advanced a “bi-national health insurance” program that would cover both US and Mexican residents along the border....including the savage Zeta gangs setting up drug cartels in Dallas.

Perry praised a “unified,” trans-national health care program. and was ready, willing and eager to pour US dollars on illegals violating US borders.....including the savage Zetas setting up its drug cartel in Dallas, and those on the border organizing against the US.

Senor El Perrynista receives a monogrammed serape from Coahuila Gov Enrique
Martinez as a token of appreciation for enacting the Texican Dream Act
(tax dollar giveaways to illegals).

Perry’s not a conservative by any stretch.

He’s a well-paid, well-documented open borders shill, and as such is on the payroll humping for the global progressive agenda. Apparently watching fellow traveler Juan McAmnesty get carried off on a stretcher last election cycle just wasn’t enough for the GOP establishment.

I no longer call them RINOs. That’s not really what they are. They are DIDs - Democrats In Drag.

Are you nuts?
You're not suggesting that Perry is conservative, are you?
Bachmann, Palin, Newt, there's your conservatives. But NOT Perry!

Any of us with a molecule of common sense is wasting our time trying to discuss politics logically with temPEST and his PDS coyote team who falsely claim to be 1000% for Palin all the while actually promoting discord with supporters or potential supporters of any actual conservative candidate, Perry included.

A lot of indications, here and on other threads points to these distrupter trolls are actually ronpaulnuts or are intent on making sure no viable conservative gets the GOP nomination.

If Perry was not in the lead, they would be attacking whomever it was, Palin, Buchmann or Cain.

How well did Tancredo and Hunter do in 2008? Who was the Republican nominee?

Good post #22. I’m temporarily tired of responding to Tempest and his 5-10 butt-buddies here on FR who claim to be the Absolute-Arbiters-of-True-Conservativism-For-Everyone-Everywhere-And-We’ll-Vote-For-Obama-If-You-Disagree-With-Us. That group.

They are so dreary, so boring and so freaking, freaking predictable. Like 2 year olds throwing another d*mn tantrum. (I’m not gonna be a Republican anymore! Not ever never ever ever!)

I’m truly tired of it. At least temporarily. I might get back into it later.

But your post#22 is a good response on this issue and I’m glad to see it.

Come on butterbean, just what can you dream up to explain how Perry was re-elected twice by very conservative Texas voters?

Don’t be hidin under Palin’s or Bachmanns skirt with the PDS sniping. Neither of those conservative ladies would not approve.

I've never seen so many lying, politically disingenuous hypocrites ever, as those supporting Perry. It's worse than the Bush days.

For many years these big party groupies have repeatedly told all, the illegal aliens in California are the fault of Californians, and they deserve everything they get.

Yet when another guy from Texas is running for President, it's the same old bull shit...Perry is a powerless innocent by-stander and the millions of illegals in Texas are the Feds fault.

Cold day in hell when I support this guy, or join the ranks of these political hypocrites or anyone who has aided and abetted this country killing invasion.

Perry is worse than Bush. Bush supported a border fence. ILLEGAL-alien loving Ricardo Perrinista does not.

Moreover, he has stated he favors an open border, is all for instate tuition for ILLEGALs, and, sided with the Obama admin by opposing Arizona's SB1070.

Pro-amnesty Ricardo Perrinista is the last thing a country being overrun by ILLEGAL aliens needs.
