Al Cardenas, chairman of the influential American Conservative Union, tells Newsmax.TV that President Barack Obama will “without doubt” go down to defeat when he seeks re-election in 2012 -- no matter what the media are saying.
He also says Rep. Michele Bachmann will remain a force to be reckoned with in the Republican presidential nominating process, and says Sen. Marco Rubio could be a “difference maker” in the 2012 election if he is the GOP vice presidential candidate.
Cardenas is the former chairman of the Republican Party of Florida. His American Conservative Union is best known for sponsoring the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Washington.
In an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV, Cardenas says his group will host all the Republican presidential candidates when it sponsors the Florida Conservative Political Action Conference next month.
American Conservative Union Chairman Al Cardenas says the 2012 Republican presidential nominee will be one of the more conservative candidates in the field. In this Newsmax.TV video, he predicts that President Barack Obama will be defeated and adds that Florida could be the state that decides the election outcome.
“It’s following the tradition of our annual CPAC in Washington. This is a regional event but we have all the presidential candidates coming. Senator Marco Rubio will be a favorite with the crowd. We have Ralph Reed, Grover Norquist, Ann Coulter.”
Cardenas is very enthusiastic about the 2012 presidential election. “Clearly the needle has moved to the right, and for a conservative that’s a great thing,” he says. “It’s amazing how the bandwidth has narrowed. There may be differences of opinion [among Republican candidates] but all within a much narrower range. Most candidates should be for a balanced budget amendment. Whoever becomes the nominee is going to be a conservative this time around.”

We need to run against Obama as vigorously as if he has a 4% unemployment rate. We must not forget that we need to win more in the House and win the Senate.
I predict the same thing.....with race riots after word comes he is going to lose.
Rubio is not NBC and therefore cannot be VP...
My predictions are running in the 80%tile range. Zero will manufacture a crises and declare martial law before the elections, send congress home, and tell the judges they have been outsourced to military tribunals.

When are these boobs going to realize a VP has to qualify as a Natural Born Citizen to be eligible to run for VP. Rubio is a Native Born Citizen...his parents were born in Cuba. Cuba was a self governing US Colony when they were born. That made them US Citizens...now the big question is did they renounce that citizenship when adults to become Cuban Citizens? IF they did not then he'd be a Natural Born Citizen...then in later years in the USA why would his Dad become a naturalized citizen?
If Barry does lose in 2012, Americans better be prepared to lock and load. The freeloaders and union thugs will go on a rampage. Americans better know how to defend themselves.

Because there was no follow through on the NBC issue with Obama by our political leaders(especially GOP) and his expulsion from office, the democrats will say that precedent has been set for non-NBC Presidential officeholders and some RINOs will join the chorus; and, the Constitution will be totally shredded. Just wait and watch, when all is said and done, it will be proven that Obama is/was not a natural born ciitzen, but “precedent” was set for non-NBC officeholders.

ONLY NATIONAL LAW MAKES BINDING PRECEDENT.
The Supreme Court’s definition of the natural-born citizen clause in Minor is not common law, natural law, or international law. Vattel is not cited by the Supreme Court in Minor. And Vattel does not make US law. The Court’s holding in Minor is national law. It is United States law.
Those other sources may have been consulted, but when the Court held that Minor was a citizen under Article 2 Section 1 because she was born in the US of citizen parents, that definition became national law. Therefore, Minor supersedes all other sources on this point. It is a direct Constitutional interpretation and definition.
The other sources are not necessary. Relying upon them actually weakens the authority of Minor. There is no need for insecurity in the face of supporting Supreme Court precedent.
On November 22, 2008, Justice Scalia addressed the Federalist Society, stating:
“Natural law has nothing to do with originalism. I mean, I believe in natural law, but unfortunately I have no way to show or demonstrate that my understanding of it is the same as yours, or is the same as anybody else’s. I don’t enforce natural law. I suppose God enforces natural law. I enforce United States law. United States law should not contravene natural law, but that’s not my problem… I worry about, ‘What does this text mean?’ ” (Emphasis added.)
Earlier in that same speech, Justice Scalia stated:
“What has happened can only be compared to the naive belief that we used to have in the common law… Erie Railroad, you know, blows that all away… and we sort of chuckle at how naive the world could have been ever to have thought there was a common law…”
Do not get sidetracked by extraneous theoretical sources. We have United States Supreme Court precedent which defines a natural-born citizen – under Article 2 Section 1 – as a person born on US soil to parents who were citizens. Neither Obama nor McCain fit that definition. Neither are eligible to be President.
While some may argue McCain was eligible based upon a reference to Vattel, McCain simply does not fit the strict US Supreme Court definition of natural-born citizen as defined in Minor. To fashion an exception for McCain not found in the actual text from Minor is purely partisan and unfair.
Unlike others commenting on eligibility, I have always maintained that both McCain and Obama were not eligible. I brought my law suit all the way to the Supreme Court – prior to the election – arguing against both candidates’ eligibility. I was the first person to raise this issue with the American people. And I hold them both accountable for the damage done to our Constitution as a result of neither having more concern for the nation than they did for themselves.

I’m not the one you should be worried about getting “sidetracked.” Direct your concern to those who occupy the three branches of the federal government.
But, Rubio is not eligible under the Constitution to be Vice President. His parents were NOT citizens when he was born, therefore he is not a Natural Born Citizen. Same with Jindal of LA.
