WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama will meet with the top Senate and House Democrats Sunday night amid the nation's deepening political standoff over the federal debt.
The White House said late Sunday afternoon that Obama had invited Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi to the Oval Office.

It’s only a “debt crisis” because not raising the debt ceiling will result in the leftists having to stop spending and actually work; two things for which they are ill-equipped.

Hopefully, Harry will repeat his famous statement to Barry:
“This war is lost!”
Nancy Pelosi, the woman who authorized the expenditures of more money than all the POTUS’s combined in US history....yeah, these ongoing debt ceiling discussions really need her involved.......

Obama is trying to promote a panic in the markets so that the GOP will cave and let the Democrats raise taxes on EVERYONE by rescinding the Bush tax cuts. That’s also why he was scaring the elderly by threatening to take their SS checks away. He is playing Chicago thug politics at its most despicable.
They are sly, cunning and coniving but if they got all the politicans in the District of Corruption in one place they still couldn’t understand what needs to be done.
IF the answer to all the problems we face were presented to them on stone tablets by God Almighty Himself they wouldn’t do it because it does not help them insure their phony baloney jobs and the satisfaction of their pitiful vanity by power granted by others whom they loathe.
We have come to that pitiful point where the unwashed welfare, dependent masses must be satisfied or you don’t get to come back to fight another day. The only way to correct our mess is to deal a final fatal blow to the waste and corruption in our spending... that must include dramatic and painful changes to medicare, medicade and social security... though Spit. Leave the old folks alone, the proposal for change to anyone under 55 is the way to go. If that were done the unwashed dependent masses would have to riot for a return to their comfort at the expense of the taxpaying workers. I don’t think they could muster the ambition to do it.

Leave Cut, Cap and Balance as the only bill on the table. Make the Senate Democrats vote against it again (they won't) and make Obama veto it (he MIGHT).
But the lasting damage to the Democrats will be worth it. Their caucus fractured and in disarray.
Even more, a victory of will and principle, one supported by at least 60% of voters, will ensure a very fruitful 2012.
So right it's worth repeating!
Barry will be all alone on an island if the Dems cut a deal with the GOP.

I thought Pelosi was busy trying to help Wu find a way out of his legal battles against sex crimes.
