Bachmann Claims Big Lead Among Iowa
Conservatives In New Poll

Rep. Michele Bachmann has taken a substantial lead in the presidential race among Iowa conservatives, according to a new poll. The poll, conducted by the 2012 Iowa Report, finds Bachmann with 33% support among conservatives, more than double the next contender, Herman Cain (15%).

Bachmann’s Iowa polling numbers have risen dramatically over the past two weeks which included her campaign announcement and the GOP presidential debate. Among likely caucus goers, Bachmann also received 33% of the votes with 29% of likely voters thinking the Minnesota congresswoman will “ultimately win” the nomination.

Other key findings:

-- The race for the coveted “three tickets out of Iowa” is still very much up for grabs with five candidates (or potential candidates) receiving double-digit support (Cain 15%, Romney 13%, Palin 11%, Paul 10%)
-- One-fourth of Iowa conservatives are still unsure who will ultimately win.
-- Sarah Palin is still poised to make a major play in Iowa with 11% support among conservatives even though she has not announced her intensions.
-- Ron Paul gains the most among likely caucus goers (+2.3%) while Mitt Romney loses the most (-2.9%)

The 2012 Iowa Report Poll, a project of Grassfire Nation, is a special survey of Iowa conservatives conducted weekly to help measure where Iowa conservatives stand on the 2012 Republican presidential field.

We are all “waiting on Sarah”.

If we see the Sarah Palin who gave the speech at her VP acceptance; she will be very popular.

The viscous attacks against her will hurt her to some extent. You will see some conservatives saying; “well I like her, but I don't know if she is electable”

The first vote of the 2008 election season took place in the Iowa caucuses on January 3, 2008. McCain came in fourth place, with 13.1% of the vote.

Michelle needs to stay away from the commie quizzes on TV “news” shows. Any answer other than Yes or No will be picked apart by their braindead “experts”.

Bachmann has many skeletons in her closet that will expose her as just another corrupt politician. Many on free republic are wearing blinders because Bachmann says all the right things and says them well. The media is suddenly playing it easy on her because they hope she ends up on the national ticket and they will destroy her later and if you thought Palin had it rough , Bachmann has some real good stuff for the media to use. Just wait until people see some of the interviews of these “23” foster kids.... free babysitting and house keeping plus 1.2 million in state money to the Bachmann’s. Pardons for fat cat donors. Farm subsidies for her family. Using tax funded congressional office money for political events. Media just sitting on this for later.

If Sarah don’t get in, Michele is my pick....screw the apoligist “we gotta win - even if it’s Romney crowd.”

I’ve asked you before to provide sources for the accusations you spam on every thread about Michele Bachmann. I’ll ask you again. Please source your accusations.

I want both of them in the race because neither has what it takes to overcome the RINO brigade alone. The GOP is doing all they can to front load this one with RINOs and the more conservatives in the race the better.

I too think they should both contend in Iowa, and between Palin, Bachmann, and Cain, the two that don’t win Iowa should drop out before South Carolina.

More Huntsman/Romney bot spam with no proof.

How is Bachmann not proven? She’s in congress - go check her voting record.

And don’t give me that Rollins BS, saying you’re not going to vote for the only conservative in the race because of on her political consultants is INSANE! An proof that you are no conservative.

You can ignore Red South, he is a Leftist troll pretending to be a "Conservative".

His claims about Bachmann here are all lies. They have no base in fact. When challenged to provide proof for his accusations, he scurries away to spam the next thread with the same lies.

I do not support Bachmann, but as someone who has watched her political career since she 1st came on the scene in Minnesota I feel compelled to correct the lies being told about her.

I find these sort of fraudulent attacks against her the worst sort of scum bag political tactics.
