The #$%* in this article could choke a horse.

"Once you get outside the Beltway, almost everyone agrees that we should be rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure and investing in clean American energy that reduces our dependence on oil," Blumenauer said.

What is this "crumbling infrastructure" of which he speaks and how is it costing jobs? Oh, wait, here we go "high-speed rail" again.

Highways? Airports? Really? Hmm, what do these have in common? That's right: PUBLIC EMPLOYEE UNIONS.

Screw you, Blumenauer, we need PRIVATE SECTOR JOBS, not make-work projects from a bankrupt government.

"Targeted spending," "investment," "targeted injection," " new spending on infrastructure and other federal projects," "job stimulus," "investment," "investing", "national infrastructure development bank"

All Democrat talking points. NOT ONE comment on private sector jobs, just more government largess.

Oh look, here's equivalence: "both parties blamed."

A tiny comment about free-trade and regulation cuts in a tsunami of putrid propaganda points telling us a broke government needs to spend more and how only in D.C. does anyone believe otherwise.

Incremental budgeting needs to go because it discourages innovation and encourages every penny is spent to more will be added in the coming year.

Zero-based budgeting would help restore sanity.

If every $1.3 million in additional federal spending equals one new job of $26,000 per year, that's math that makes sense to me. /S

What a bunch of morons, and why doesn't the media call them on it?

The only jobs government can create are more government jobs.

But that means Democrats won’t have as many votes, and that can’t happen.

Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) said "investing in our communities goes hand in hand with full economic recovery."

Now what did these bozos expect with the high gasoline prices...they were warned with these high prices...any possible recovery would be stopped...no growth no jobs...DRILL BABY DRILL...all else is futile...

The dems don’t seem to understand the adage, doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome is called INSANITY.

And where are they going to get this money to “invest”?

Show any evidence of this happening after a 3 trillion dollar outlay over the last 2 years.

Yeah, didn't think so.

Thanks Jim 726.
...in the face of May's discouraging job-creation figures... Democrats maintain that a targeted injection of additional federal dollars in the near-term would go a long way toward reversing the hiring slump. Friday's disappointing job report, they say, only bolsters their case... Rep. Eliot Engel (D-N.Y.) said "the answer" to the lingering jobs crisis is "investment" in the "communities and businesses who need confidence and resources to hire [people]." Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) said "investing in our communities goes hand in hand with full economic recovery."
In the face of Zero's phony stimulus falling flat on its ass, these pieces of sh!t are still advocating for phony stimulus.

The rats want more government union workers working on projects that we the real taxpayers pay for. In time, when the
gov workers, unions and voting welfare illegals outnumber use productive citizens the rats will always win their elections.

There was a time in America that Americans would toss these criminals out in a country minute. Once they start to enforce their
tyranny with lead we will have no choice but to fight back for real.

>>> , more taxes will be collected (since illegals pay NO income tax),>>>

One of the biggest myths of the immigration debate: Every Friday, billions goes to Washington under phony SS numbers and Washington gladly accepts that money. Not supporting an agenda here, just stating a fact.

AMEN AND PASS THE PLATE. Nothing else matters until we get affordable energy. Period. End of discussion.

Risk taking fuels the economy. No one will take risks because they don’t even know what kind of system of government we live under anymore. Is this a capitalist country? Doesn’t seem like it.

One thing that is guaranteed. The more the left pushes redistribution of wealth, the more deep the resentment they will birth in our society.

Those who hold elected office in this country are generally very unimpressive people. The less power they have, and the less input they have into peoples lives, the more successful society will be.

They know the way to win is to buy votes. I know many people that couldn’t care less about govt spending, as long as they get their share.
