Palin sounds like candidate in return to New Hampshire
Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin swept into New Hampshire on Thursday sounding like a candidate, but stayed mum on her plans for the 2012 presidential election and beyond.
The 2008 vice presidential candidate and conservative star took her "One Nation" bus north from Boston to the seaside town of Seabrook, New Hampshire.
It was the first visit to the key early primary state since Palin's failed run for the White House with John McCain.
"I want people to focus on my record," Palin told reporters outside the small blue house where a few dozen invited guests had gathered for a New England-style clambake.
She then ticked off a list of jobs she has held, from the early days in Wasilla, Alaska, adding, "It's not just about those six weeks on the vice presidential trail."
..snip
"I love your industry!" exclaimed Palin, whose husband Todd has at times worked as a commercial fisherman.
She tied her visit to one of her major themes: excess government regulation.
"Politics can not play a part in the fisheries industry," said Palin, rapping "overly cautious environmental concerns" for strangling the enterprise.
That resounded with tenth-generation fisherman Charles Eastman, 49, of Stratham, New Hampshire.
"Since 1996 the government has destroyed the fishing industry," said Eastman, who said he admires Palin for "standing up for the little man."
Although local Republican leaders have been mostly kept in the dark about Palin's plans during her bus tour, some, including former New Hampshire governor John Sununu, were spotted at the clambake.
..snip
Before joining her guests Palin chatted easily and at length with local residents, many of whom were enthusiastic.

Communism hadn't been organized yet at the time the founders wrote our Constitution, so they didn't know we'd need a no-commies clause in Article. II. Section 1.

Sununu earlier was at Republican front-runner Mitt Romney's campaign launch, held just a few miles away, and has said he is leaning toward backing Romney in the primary.
Let's analyze that.
He's "leaning toward backing" a man who, as governor of Massachusetts, looked at problems in the healthcare delivery systems in that state and instead of thinking of ways of encouraging free market solutions devised a massive big-government plan of mandated socialized medicine.
That's who he's "leaning toward backing" for the REPUBLICAN candidate for President of the United States.
Interesting.
Very interesting.
But stupid.

The Romneybots have assured us that Sarah isn't running. The mainstream media have assured us that Sarah isn't running. They helped us to choose Dole and McCain. Why would we stop trusting them now?

He knows mitt is going nowhere... and mitt will never make it past the first debate... he will be shown as what and who he is... his evil will be documented. sununu knows this... or he would never have attended Sarah's event... they will all be in CYA mode soon... Sarah knows who these people are and they will never again experience “Business as Usual”. Those days are over and done! GOD bless Sarah... she is the only one who sees it all... understands it all and can deal with it all. Man we are screwed up as a Nation... half measures will only make things worse. America cannot afford another mitt romney. Those days are over too.

America cannot afford another mitt romney.
We've never had a mitt romney.
We've had a Jimmy Carter.
We've had a couple of Bush's.
We've had a BJ Clinton.
We have a Kenyan King.
But we've never had a mitt romney.
And I'm sure we never will.
I just hope and pray that the reason we'll never have one is because he'll never win the nomination. If he wins the nomination he'll certainly lose the general election. And we'll certainly keep our Kenyan King.

It wouldn’t matter... there is no governing difference between a mitt romney and a hussein obama... both communists... both uber liberals and both love them some fags and baby murderers. mitt will NEVER make it in the debates... he will be exposed and his evil put before the electorate. He can't survive the video clip of him saying, “I was NEVER part of the Reagan Revolution”... and that is one of 10’s of thousands of sabers that will pierce mitt's bubble.

My wife watched Sarah Palin on Greta van Sustern's show the other night. I was working in my office and heard the interview. Here is my take on Sarah: She needs lessons on how to modulate her voice. When Greta asked a question that had a policy answer, Sarah went into rapid fire mode. She talked extremely fast and was a bit difficult to follow as a result. It seemed to me as if she was reciting a memorized speach. When Greta asked a question that dealt with personal thoughts, Sarah talked in a slower, more personable mode. She was actually conversing with Greta, not spewing out a prepared narrative. Sarah needs to lear to talk to rather than to talk at people. Sarah's rapid-fire response to policy questions sounded to me as if she was talking at me rather than to me. Sarah's slower more modulated conversational mode when talking about personal thought sounded as if she were talking to me (as well as to Greta.) Sarah needs to trim down her answers and must focus on what is important. Sarah's policy answers were too long. She was verbose and often repeated herself. Her answers seemed to lack focus. Sarah needs coaching on words and phrases that connect with the average person. Sarah kept taking about "job creators" but did not say who those job creators were! A lot of voters need to be reminded that government does not create jobs since every government job takes tax dollars from the private sector which kills more than one job. Sarah need to appear less high strung. There is a difference between being passionate about a subject and being agitated. True passion requires a person to be able to discuss the issue calmly and self-assuredly. When a person who cares about a subject is either not calm or not self-assured (or both), that person comes across as being concerned about the topic but not particularly rational about it.

What you say is true Michael, but it’s almost an oxymoron. Sarah has gotten to where she is by being Sarah. If she controls Sarah, she will dampen the spirit that makes her Sarah. I get the sense that Sarah rushes through her policy questions because she’s afraid she will be cut off before she gets it all out. Based on the way the media treats her, she is probably right. Yes, she could shorten her answers to a sound bite, but then they would say she has no depth. I think that in her case, she is going to be criticized regardless of what she does or what she says. I say let her be Sarah and let the chips fall where they may. God is in control.
