IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn was ordered held without bail on Monday as new details emerged about the alleged sexual assault of a maid at a swanky New York City hotel.
Law enforcement sources told FoxNews.com that blood found on bed sheets in the luxury suite in Manhattan’s Sofitel Hotel, where Strauss-Kahn stayed Friday night, could support the sexual assault claim of the alleged victim.
A rape kit found DNA evidence on the woman, who sources described as ashamed to report the violent attack. She eventually told law enforcement officials the graphic details.
Crime scene investigators found additional evidence at the scene, removing fibers and DNA and swaths of carpet and fabric from the suite for further forensic testing, sources said.

I’m surprised this wasn’t swept under the rug under diplomatic immunity. I wonder if this was some kind of set up by people who knew he liked to do this kind of thing.

If he thought he was immune they never would have had to drag him off a plane. He knew he was guilty and not immune.
He didn’t have diplomatic immunity according to FOX, not a diplomat.
It could well be a set-up, but to get a pol in this position with this type of honeytrap, you have to know his/her predilections first.
Kahn’s prior behavior is consistent with this report.
As for DI: I think that applies to the IMF only when on official business. It is reported that he was in NYC on personal business.

They can’t say “semen” until it is confirmed by the lab.

He departed the hotel in such haste that he forgot his cell phone. His mistake was to call the hotel and ask if he'd left it. That's apparently how they knew he was at JFK in time to grab him minutes before departure.
The Sofitel is owned by a French company, and in my experience, most big French company exec’s aren’t socialists and would love to see this guy swing. I would expect them to fully cooperate and I’m sure their security tapes will kill his story.
Most of the people appointed to IMF and World Bank are corrupt crooks nominated by socialist foreign governments.
The US staff and Professionals are held to a higher standard,,but then look at tax dodging Geithner..so even the US citizens are suspect.
Cyrus Vance Jr. is the NY DA. His Dad was Secy of State for Carter. It will be ironic to find him earning his own reputation prosecuting a French Socialist.
The IMF refused to claim immunity as this was a private trip to NYC. In fact, he paid for his hotel with a personal credit card. It was reported he has a daughter going to Columbia University, so he may have been there to see her before flying back to Europe?
