I'm thinking, “this is the guy who was the Republican nominee in 2008?”.

Now election season 2012 is upon us, and the same John McCain “types” are starting to announce their intentions to run. We'll see where this leads, but with a high probability the Republican Establishment is going to force feed us another “Establishment Conservative”, I refuse to play along again. If they do that, and I will bolt.

I hope this time we Conservatives truly stick together. If we belong to a Party which refuses to represent us, then it's time to look for representation elsewhere. I will not vote for Romney, Huckabee, Gingrich, or Daniels. If one of these “Establishment Conservatives” becomes the nominee and I contemplate submitting to the mantra, “anyone but Obama”, for strength, all I have to do is to think of statements like McCain's’ in this interview posted today.

The problem with McLame is that he wasn’t even an estalishment conservative. He was a maverick idiot who strayed from the establishment conservative line more often than not.

Hey, McCain, American every prisoner of war we had in Iraq was killed, you numbskull.

Don’t talk to me about “setting an example” for the world.

The example that needed to be set on 9/12/01 was nuking Mecca and Medina and taking over the oil fields.

Again, we see clearly that Communist indoctrination and Manchurian Candidate techniques are quite effective 45 years into the future.

Between this and his lawless statements about the War Powers Act the other day, he needs to resign.

I can’t believe that the Republicans gave us this wimpy jacka$$ and claimed he was qualified to be president.

Yup ... Juam was more than willing to allow a very ineligible democrap candidate running in the election so that Juan’s questionable eligibility would not be addressed on legal terms. THAT is the epitome of a self-serving oath breaker sitting atop a senate seat he should have been voted off of three cyclkes back! Old fart would sell the Constitution out for his own interests and lust for power.

"Through normal, conventional interrogation techniques - and by the way I've seen it in Bagram - and with without these enhanced interrogation techniques, we can get more accurate, more valuable information," McCain continued.

Hey McCain......not everyone just breaks and talks.

Sometimes you have to beat the hell out of them, before they crack like the nut you are.

So we can save those we love.

Ahhhh Johnny boy. As you know the NVA tortured and what happened.... We surrendered to them.

Confusing what we did with what they did is to blur moral distinctions in a very big way. Go Away McLame

I don't know. I felt all along that the Establishment was very supportive of McCain. As far as straying from the Establishment Conservative line, I didn't really see that. He was and is the very definition of an Establishment Conservative, that being a “Moderate” who is actually a Faux Conservative. Amnesty is just one of many examples.

Will he never just shut the hell up and GO AWAY! Hey John...you lost, you’re a loser and always will be. Nobody cares what you think. Please retire to obscurity or just switch to the Democrat party and get it over with!

Ain't that the truth. Wonder who they'll trot out for 2012? Mitt? Huck? Newt? The list of losers goes on and on. If it's not Palin/Bachmann then Barry gets four more.

McCain has fallen and he can’t get up. He’s a libtard.

While I support our efforts in Afghanistan, it’s patently absurd to state we should stay there another 88.7 years.

I don’t want us there 5.7 more years, much less 88.7.

If waterboarding is torture, then I suppose any other kind of rough treatment could be considered torture: sleep deprivation, rough questioning, food deprivation. I would bet if you asked someone would they rather be waterboarded or have their fingernails pulled out one by one, they’d say waterboarded. Or waterboarded or beaten severely, they’d most likely say waterboarded. In short, if a person can call waterboarding torture, then anything beyond tough questioning can be called torture. I doubt that is the case.

"We didn't do it to the Japanese war criminals," he said. "We didn't do it to the Nazi war criminals. And think of what would happen if in another conflict an enemy, not a terrorist organization, takes Americans prisoner, then obviously they will feel that they could do the same thing that we have practiced."

I understand the moral arguments against enhanced interrogations / torture. What I don't understand is the 'practical argument', as shown above.

I don't understand it because it's stupid. Meta-stupid. It transcends normal types of stupid, into it's own dimension of higher boneheadedness.

The Imperial Japanese and the Nazis, as well as the Arabs, Vietnamese, Chinese, North Koreans and pretty much everyone we've ever fought, torture the crap out of their opponents. Military opponents. Political opponents. Whoever. And not in ways that don't leave marks. To DEATH.

The idea that they 'learned torture from us' or are somehow spurred to savage acts of reprisal because we're locking up detainees in a tropical beach resort, is so stupid as to make me want to check the speaker for lobotomy scars.
