The problem with McLame is that he wasn’t even an estalishment conservative. He was a maverick idiot who strayed from the establishment conservative line more often than not.

I don't know. I felt all along that the Establishment was very supportive of McCain. As far as straying from the Establishment Conservative line, I didn't really see that. He was and is the very definition of an Establishment Conservative, that being a “Moderate” who is actually a Faux Conservative. Amnesty is just one of many examples.
