Last night was soggy with temperature in the high 40s. The rain meant that the MOAB, Mother Of All Banners, and Flag Row were safe and dry in their holders until next Friday. However, Flag Row was covered by smaller flags all night.
Easter weekend means that there was no dinner bus. It also means that many people in the DC area are out of town on Easter break. Traffic was considerably lighter and only a few cars were entering and leaving Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Because of the rain, our umbrellas were up. Jessica started with a pink one, but quickly realized wrong color for our group. She retrieved a solid army green from her car.
3D-Joy was back for several days and joined us. Mr Trooprally presented her with a DC Chapter Plaque recognizing her presence from the beginning and for the patriotic items she made for our fundraisers.
A soggy night with a lot of smiles.

Many, many blessings to all of you this Easter!
God bless you all and God bless our brave troops.
Blessed and Happy Easter to everyone
We also played “corner switch” tonight. Lurker Bill was off for Good Friday so I occupied “his corner”. Lurkers Bryan and Terri were on “my corner”. I have to admit, they did “my corner proud”.
And a thanks to Tammy Cat for bringing die-for HOMEMADE Red Velvet Cupcakes with extra rich butter cream frosting. Of course it would have helped my first bite knowing that she doubled up on the cupcake holders. Outside were nice foil types that came off easy. Inside were regular paper cups that were hard to bite thru, especially when I was anxious to sink my teeth into the cupcake.
Update on Lurker Bill’s health - If you remember he missed our 6 Year Anniversary. Well, ALL tests were NEGATIVE! Looks like our prayers were answered.
On the lighter side, sounds like he just got tired of FReeping in the rain. After all, no rain last week and he was there, but this week, rain again and Good Friday is his excuse. Darn good excuse it is though.
Kburi, no joking around, thanks for the real quick AAR.
[Mr] T
Thx for the update on Lurker Bill, let him know I fully understand the rain thing...sigh

I was wondering what inflated your rain suit so, LOL.
Funny!
I keep telling Mrs T to photograph us older guys with a sign in front of our...., well you know.
It’s been awhile since I put in a BTTT for FR’s finest...supporting America’s finest.
Thank you, all.
Ahh, it was just a fat suit to insulate me from the cold. :-))
Actually -— I had a hooded suit jacket and the “bulge” are the gloves in the pockets. The rain suit (bib type pants with suspenders) has no pockets. Bummer when trying to get a cigar and lighter out of my jeans.
Good to see you still “popping” by for a post. Hope things are going well.
[Mr] T
See Post 11.
Nothing could hid that. Heck, it kept the crumbs from falling on the ground so I could gather them up later for a snack.
[Mr] T
As Shakespeare would say to Trooprally: “Methinksyouprotestesttoomuch”.
And to USMCPOP, a special invitation to join us before Walter Reed is closed.
We would be honored,sir.
Lucky 13. Good number for Good Friday. Happy Easter to all.
God bless.
Nan
I just returned home from an all day shopping trip with my daughter who lives in this area...and here is the report!
You are fast this week.
Wish we had a Sterling Diner in Florida. I really put away that Mile High Turkey Dinner! I spent all my money and may have to hitch-hike home. LOL
NOW TO THE IMPORTANT BUSINESS...
Freepers all across this country thank you and respect the continued presence of the DC Group at Walter Reed Army Medical Center each week. Never wonder if you are doing a worthwhile job...You definitely are!
I was pleased to be honored with my certificate. It has been put up on the wall for all to share here. They support me with a car often, gas all the time, and have planned their schedules so I could be there. I have been a part-time, but long-time participant. What a pleasure it has been to be part of the group! Thank You.
Congratulations, 3DJoy! You sure have made us Florida patriots proud by being there with the Walter Reed patriots when the rest of us couldn’t be there in support of our heroes!
