On the 313th consecutive Friday night, it was a quiet and pleasant evening at the front gates of Walter Reed. We had a good group with a lot of waves and honks from the passing cars. It was a break from the hectic pace of the past several weeks.
In the 6th anniversary after action report, we should have mentioned that the George Washington University Young Republicans, who were there, were following a tradition of joining us. Over the past 5 years, the GWU Young Republicans Club has joined the Friday night support the troops rally, either 1 or 2 times a year. They are always welcome.
Two stories are noted. First: A woman driving by stopped her car and talked to Mrs Trooprally for a few minutes. She works at the hospital and has driven past us many times. Tonight, she said, she wanted to stop and say thank you. She told Mrs T. that you have no idea of the impact you have on the troops inside.
Second: A former Army nurse, now a civilian Registered Nurse who works in the wards at WRAMC, stopped to ask if we were selling any decals, bumper stickers, ect. After Mrs T. told her we werent, she said she also wanted to thank us for being here.
To both, we say Thank you for your service to the troops inside.
Two buses returned together shortly after 9pm. They were greeted with waves and shouts of support, and many inside the buses waved back.

DC PING!
Thanks Kburi...
I look forward to all your reports and Mrs Trooprally’s pictures.
The weather looked cold and dreary just like today!
I hope it is a bit better this week.
See you all soon!
Thank-you bump for the Walter Reed FReep!
Looks like you will have a wet Friday this week. It’s raining cats and dogs here. May the Good Lord bless the lot o’ye, and a BLESSED EASTER as well. You are the good guys.
What a good-looking and enthusiastic group of patriots!
It was great to stand with you all again.
KBURI - Thanks for the AAR and [Mrs] T’s conversations.
It is really good hearing that we are making a difference on the corners. Sure helps keep up our spirits on those cold or wet nights.
The staff of Walter Reed, usually the cafeteria and maintenance workers, always receive a Thank You when they leave WR after their shift. When VIPs come to WR, they only visit the wounded and the doctors. Staff always get shorthanded.
You forgot to mention that the wind kept the MOAB in storage. This week the rain will keep it there but with this being Easter Weekend, a lot of the wounded are out with their families or on leave. Maybe next week.
[Mr] T
Thanks Maica
It was good seeing you back.
Yep, being raining since around noon, not hard though. And still too chilly for shorts. Maybe next week. Week day temps are in the 70s and 80s.
Thank you for the Easter Wishes and back at ya - Have a Happy & Blessed Easter.

Sending you all a Hi from Florida! Know 3DJoy will be there with you all this evening in support of our heroes!
Hoping to be there in July to join you all.:)
Maryland PING!
These wonderful Patriots were all there and with hot beverages and Easter decorated cupcakes to “fix” my chocolate craving.
This Floridian had to have a pair of hand warmers in my gloves to manage to stay to the end of the event! What a wimp I am!
It was great to see all my old friends and to meet some of the new patriots that had become familiar through the great photo reports.
I hope to be there in July when you visit!
Those hand warmers are wonderful! Mrs.Trooprally introduced James and I to hand warmers when we were there in February! Sure helped us to be more comfortable as we just couldn’t seem to keep our hands warm, even with gloves! I now have a supply of hand warmers and foot warmers for those times we cold intolerant Floridians need them! Looking forward to the report and pictures of last night’s tribute to our heroes! So great that more patriots are hearing about the Friday evening vigils in support of our military. God Bless you all for being there for the many of us who wish we could be every Friday!
‘Hey’ back at ya. Yep, 3D did not bring any warm FL weather with her this trip. With you possibly coming in July, maybe both of you could muster some warmer weather.
No bus so at least we got home at a reasonable time.
[Mr] T
See you both on the report from the 22nd!
I bet it is:
RAIN, RAIN, AND MORE RAIN!
maybe:
3D brings rain from Florida!
or even:
Blame all the rain on 3D-JOY!
I hope not:
Rain, Rain, 3D stay away!
LOL. good thing your name isn’t BUSH, then we could really blame the rain on you.
