I donated to Brown but do not play to again.
He was the deciding vote on the DREAM Act and that alone is worth $35 to me.
If you mean the cute broad from SD; I agree.
We need to be wiser with our stewardship of political campaign funds...certain states should just be written off as ‘lost causes’. There is no sense wasting money on races in Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island; among others. Divert your financial support to candidates in ‘red’ or ‘purple’ states...conservative candidates who are less likely to stick us in the back. One wonders if the money p*ssed away on Brown could have been used to drag a conservative candidate across the finish line in another state this past November.
If it makes you hurt less, I gave the asshat a hundred bucks.
the guy poses naked for a magazine. Enough said. something wrong with his head
And now he’s whining that the dems are coming after him.
Oh, poor baby. He can hide behind the other girls in the senate, snowe and collins. The three of them can hold hands all the while.
The “benefit” is having a Majority of 51 + gets you the Senate Leader position. The Senate Leader decides what will be voted upon, even if his Caucus is infiltrated with Scott Brown clones...
I have no love of RINOS, but we can use the analogy that a RINO is just a Democrat when we have a 90(R) / 10 (D) majority in the Senate. When that happens, you can cull the herd without losing control of the Senate Leadership.
I think I speak for most FReepers who donated to Brown’s campaign that we most certainly were not played for fools. Each of us knew Brown was no dyed in the wool conservative, perhaps not even a mediocre one, but the time, place and context made it worth the $20 or whatever to see him elected. I have no regrets, and I think anyone who would mock me for “supporting” him at the time seeks only to build himself up as a paragon rather than look at the endgame.
Since I went in with eyes open, Brown hasn’t “disappointed” me in the least. If I could only say the same for other GOPers.
Good call. When he sees that the support and enthusiasm he had last time isn’t there, I believe that is exactly what he will do. My guess is, the Dems are already courting him.
He took over from a multi-decades long Kennedy, what more do you want? At least there was an "R" on his ticket..........
Be careful what you wish for because if he loses his next election it will be to another Democrat with a "D" on his ticket.
As I'm sure you're already aware, majority control is based on party affiliation not on how they actually vote.........
A conservative who throws LIFE overboard has just agreed to kill our nation's children.
If they'll do that, they'll throw anything overboard. It's just a matter of time and convenience.
“There’s little benefit in putting in a RINO, just to beat a Democrat.”
Then some Independents blame all Republicans for what the RINOs do, and vote for Dems.
At last, one comment reflecting common sense, dealing with reality despite the infantile wish of children for return to the purity of the womb.
Told you so.
Now... RECALL this two-faced SOB... Kick his slimy RINO butt to the curb.
Hey Cosmo Man; the Tea Party got you elected.
1. Brown got elected to vote against Obamacare. Most of us knew that was all we could expect from him (except a few breathless FReeperettes posting his old nude modeling pictures and dreaming of him as VP).
2. We'll have to see how many Massachusetts Republicans will be eager to vote for him again. He has done nothing to endear himself to the same tea party that swept him into office. I doubt he'll be primaried, but if it looks like he will be he'll jump.
3. It's Massachusetts. Brown got elected because enough people were ticked at the idea that the seat was automatic for a really poor candidate and Kennedy pick. Unless we are in the middle of a rebellion that seat will most like go (D), whether that (D) is named Brown or not.
4. I know how control of the Senate works, but our goal can no longer be Republican control. It must be conservative control. Republican control from 1995 until 2007 gave us creeping socialism instead of screaming socialism. A return to creeping socialism is no victory. It's too late. We must have conservatism and that means slash, cut, defund, deregulate. Boehner and McConnell are not up to the job.
Poor Scott Brown. I hate to see you cry.
Scott is finding that Senate thing harder than he figured. How can he make things go easier. So many temptations with so many forces pulling him left and right. What should he do? Should he go left today—or right? I guess the easiest way to decide is to flip a coin.
“He can hide behind the other girls in the senate, snowe and collins.”
You forgot Graham in your list of girls.
