Trump: Obama spending millions to hide his past
WND ^ | March 28, 2011 | WND

Posted on 03/28/2011 1:24:46 PM PDT by RobinMasters

Mega-millionaire Donald Trump today said during an interview with FoxNewsInsider that Barack Obama is having trouble with, and spending millions to fight, the ongoing questions about his birth, his birth certificate and his eligibility to hold office – and the longer the issue goes on, the more he is convinced there are problems with the president's eligibility.

His newest comments on an issue he first raised in an ABC interview more than a week ago came today on the Fox News Channel.

"The fact is if you're not born in the United States, you cannot be president. He is having a hard time. He spent millions of dollars trying to get away from this issue. Millions of dollars in legal fees trying to get away from this issue. I brought it up just routinely. All of a sudden a lot of facts are emerging and I'm starting to wonder myself whether he was born in this country," Trump said.

Even if Trump doesn’t run — which I hope he doesn’t — I’m enjoying this constant needling of a thin-skinned little turd like 0bama. Eventually he’ll respond.. it’ll be interesting to see how.

Trump’s on point on this issue but I could throw him further than I could trust him.

Notice how he keeps upping the ante as he dodges the relatively-muted criticism that’s thrown his way each time he speaks on the issue.

I’m not sure I agree much with his politics (he did give financial support to the likes of Emanuel and Bloomberg, though I understand why), but I’ll tell you this, I wouldn’t mind having him by my side in the political equivalent of an alley fight.

What I would like happen at this point is have the New York Post pick up on this story. The NY Times, of course, will continue to ignore the issue, or, if it gains traction and can't be ignored will step in and defend the ‘anointed’ one. In any case the story needs to get print media attention, not just on line WND coverage.

While Trump may be a useful tool for this purpose, and I happen to believe he is, he is not the tool chest we need in 2012.

I am happy he is forcing this issue to be addressed.

As project head, thus far he is doing a good job.

It remains to be seen if he’ll win the task.

Stay tuned to see who gets fired. ;^)

Interesting that the issue is not about where Zero was born...
BUT when did he become an american citizen...

after his well known, obvious and in your face Indonesian citizenship..
I'd be willing to bet he never did make this switch.. or was even challenged to make it..

even now!!.. Trump over looks the obvious.. he donates to democrats always.. WHY?..
Trump has a lot to answer for.. as well.. Trump and Zero.. the dramatic duo..
The drama never stops..

Hmmm..the media is not saying a word about this are they? You’d think they’d be circling the wagons by now...

You will often see this kind of behavior from The Hive when a credible threat comes out of nowhere.

They appear to ignore it while they hold conference call after feverish conference call, working out their response and getting all their big players on board.

Once all their ducks are in a row, they'll let loose with everything they've got.

In this case, they're going to have to either (a) get to Trump and explain to him that things will be better for him in the long run if he disappears for a while and never mentions this subject again (a long shot, I know), or (b) try to destroy Trump entirely based on dirt dug up from his past.

I assure you they are working on both of these approaches right now.

I’m not a “birther” I think Trump had it right when he said there is something on the BC that Obama doesn’t like.

If they recorded religion, he easily could have been listed as Muslim, but I haven’t seen that mentioned anywhere. Some have said maybe a different father is listed.

I’d support the birthers just because I can’t stand when certain subjects are treated as taboo. If any republican had this background and withheld a BC, there would be hell to pay.

I doubt Trump has anything to do with Soros. A detailed book about the insidious Soros; "The Shadow Party" by Horowitz and Poe; doesn't mention Trump anywhere therein.

Maybe Trump should take him to court to make him produce the BC. He may be able to argue that he has standing because he didn't get what he paid for.

Good for him. Even Calvin Coolidge had to show his BC - his opponents thought he might have been born in Canada.

The Left is showing a remarkable lack of intellectual curiosity, eh?

The DNC is paying for the court lawyers (per the FEC).

Someone/something else paid for the sanitizing of records.

I was just thinking the same. Old Donald is a wily one. He knows how to woo the reluctant to his side. Take it to the liberal media with the birth certificate issue.

Pounding away on a papercut at every opportunity allows an opponent to deliver a gaping wound over time. The story is becoming the wound, not the papercut.

I've never cared for Trump. He ruined my best friend with his Taj Mahal bankruptcy filing. My friend got one of the contracts for construction. He had to use every penny he had including his house, his inheretance, and his wife's wages to pay his crews. The Donald stiffed him and he got about eight cents on the dollar. The contract was in the tens of millions range.

My friend lost his house, marriage, kids, solvency, and never really recovered. Maybe he should have never bid the job? Who knows really? But when Trump was flying his helicopter up and down the coast and wouldn't pay his contracts, that was too much for anyone.
