If you people in Texas strive to maintain your right to work laws, and continue with passing laws like this, half the population of the US is going to move to TX.

Won’t La Raza or CAIR or the unions get an appeals court to declare this an”unconstitutional” affront to the poor (illegal) masses?

On board. I hope they pass the right-to-carry on campus thing, too.
Oh, the lefties will have a conniption, and that warms my heart.

I like this voter bill, but Im much more interested in HB 17 authored by Rep Debbie Riddle, which focuses on illegal
immigration directly.
HB 17 concerns the creation of the offense of criminal trespass by an illegal alien and to certain procedures for arresting illegal aliens for committing that criminal offense.
It is languishing in committee of course.
The only immigration bill that seems to be moving forward is HB 12 authored by Rep Burt Solomons. This bill would prevent cities from adopting sanctuary policies. It is out of committee but has not yet been presented to the house.
I do not think Texas Republicans have the political guts to pass any of the immigration bills filed. Except for a few individual Reps they are all OPEN BORDER SLIME.

Yes! We’ve been wanting this for years, and now that the Republicans have a significant majority, it’s going to pass. Perry, bless his heart, has pledged to sign it.
And, yes, the Dems are pulling their hair out. Their best argument is that “thousands” will be “disenfranchised” because they don’t have a picture I.D. Lame, really lame.

That does not matter. The Rats still have several layers of courts to go through. You know they will try them all. The courts have shown a willingness to ignore the will of the voters.

Hopefully, in the future, the voter I.D. bill will enable enough real conservatives to be elected to push through some anti-criminal immigration legislation in the next few years. I know that much as-yet-unknown fraud will be stopped by this safeguard.

From a lifelong Yankee... God bless Texas. Greatest state in the union (and the most beautiful women in the world).
First chance we get, my family’s moving there.
