>Indeed. Kinda like French TV News (hot diggity damn!).<

I agree. Back in Canada, I would sometimes prefer to watch the Montreal telecasts because they interconnect with Paris Tele and the women are so hot, I thought I was watching porn.

My brother is married to a Filipina and whenever I’m with them watching Filipino shows (he couldnt understand them but the women are hot so he just nods), it’s more lively than what we have here.

It’s been happening to LA radio for some time.

When the Treason Lobby is in charge of both parties you get an America swamped by colonists replacing the American people with their own people and language and culture. According to Clinton and Bush and Obama this is A Good Thing.

La Reina drew 2.9 million viewers and roughly 1.93 million were in the ad-favored 18-49 demo. For Monday and Tuesday’s telecasts, La Reina has averaged 1.89 million in the demo, up 7 percent from its premiere week. In adults 18-34, La Reina had its best ratings to date with 1.13 million.

I don’t quite understand this. The Good Wife had over 10 million viewers and 2.0 rating among 18-49 demo. I must not understand the way ratings are done.....obviously. lol.

What you have identified is related to the ratings success of Modern Family. Mmmm, Sofía Vergara/Gloria.

I watch La Reina del Sur, and I don't speak any Spanish, and my ancestry is German, English, and Swedish.

The soft porn aspect doesn't appeal to me. It's seeing people smoking cigarettes. In bars, at restaurants, sitting on their stoop.

Also, they film at a lot of different scenic locations.

That's like reading Playboy for the articles. :) Happy Friday!

Have you watched one of these? My wife watches or records them all the time. I actually like the period-dramas. American networks have such a stigma of bias and corruption to them. Many of the Spanish or Portuguese translated to Spanish soap operas are kind of there as well, but you still get caught up in them.

They used to be pretty cheesy, but they've come a long way.

The worst one I saw was in Brasil called "Deus Ajudanos". An wealthy old jerk was dying and his kin wanted to get rid of him. First, he died of a stroke. Then each family member sneaked into the room separately and killed him by one method or another, not leaving a mark so that the next person thought they were killing him. Pretty funny, but you could smell the cheese - lol!

"Betty La Fea" was popular enough to translate into English.

And the women...the women...SI! ; D

You have to wholey embrace and love a people who's women are not afraid to actually BE WOMEN...

The left has made that a crime here.

The Good Wife actually had 13 million viewers over its entire season. These ratings for Reina are for two episodes. But you’re right. They make it nearly impossible to understand.

I tried to watch Eva Luna, because I love Guy Ecker, but I couldn’t keep up with it.

Sharkboy, lighten up. One meaning of “perro” is a promiscuous man. It was actually pretty funny, and Perro — the guy — had a real dog that went everywhere with him and kept hiding its face in its paws at his excesses. Throughout the novela they referred to him as “Perro Brando.” And he was extremely hot.
Here’s the singing, dancing theme song featuring hot people of both sexes, plus the dog. Tell me this isn’t funny:
