Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) will reveal that he was a victim of sexual abuse as a child during an interview set to air on Sunday.
Brown, in an interview previewing his forthcoming book, told "60 Minutes" that he suffered sexual abuse "several times" by a camp counselor when he was 10 years old, and was the victim of physical abuse by a stepfather.
Brown said in the interview, set to air Sunday on CBS, that he hadn't even told his mother about the sexual abuse.
“That’s what happens when you’re a victim. You’re embarrassed. You’re hurt,” he said, adding that he was threatened by his assailant. “He said ‘If you tell anybody … I’ll kill you. I will make sure that nobody believes you.’”

I don't recall you adopting that attitude on threads where the perp was a Catholic priest.
It’s so sad. This happens so much more than we can even believe. Our President was equally a victim — too bad he doesn’t have the presence of mind to come forward like Senator Brown.
No wonder he lost his moral track, posing naked and all that.

I doubt it. The liberal voters of Massachusetts are going to eat this up with a spoon. There will be a lot of ticket splitters in MA in 2012. They'll vote Obama and Brown.

Anyhow, a caution should be drawn from history. Attempts to purify Republican held positions, absent a strong candidate to replace the weak Republican, typically end up ceding them to Democrats. The Committee for Growth was notorious this way. This is Massachusetts, where the political elephant is on the almost-extinct list.
Instead he burned the armed forces on DADT repeal and will burn the rest of the country over and over as a RINO. Being a victim he's a natural democrat maybe he should drop the other shoe and switch.
