Forgive my stark cynicism, but I cannot help but wonder if Giffords had an (R) after her name would there be a minute-by-minute update on her every situation?

Look we all wish her well and a speedy recovery, but the MSM has taken almost a prurient interest in Giffords situation. It's almost as if the MSM wants to keep this story going because they think the public blames Palin, the right, talk radio, whatever, so if they keep this going they can possibly inflict more damage on those they believe caused this tragedy.

I disagree, I think that most Arizonans who are waving to the ambulance are deeply relieved that Gabrielle will live. I'm sure that her friend, Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, who burst into tears when she learned that Gabby had just been shot is also deeply relieved that not only is her friend alive, but is deemed recovered enough to be transferred to a renowned physical therapy center to further her recovery.

I presume that most Americans of all political persuasions are happy that Rep. Giffords has survived and that it is possible that she may make a complete recovery.

Thanks. I completely agree its not a partisan issue to genuinely wish her well and pray for her full recovery, it’s just that I do not trust the motives of the corrupt MSM or the Democrats (same thing) to subtly yet maximally exploit the situation for partisan advantage.

I recall Paul Wellstone’s death was a genuine tragedy that was fully exploited.
