And last year PolyFact (a subdivision of the St. Patersburg Times) gave Sarah Palin the “Lie of the Year” award for her use of Death Panels. I am sure they will be issuing a retraction. lol.

These bastards never change. They
will never change. They will fight the majority of voters in this country if they have to, to get their agenda forward.
Reading Reagan's biography. My rear end.

The liberals mocked the conservatives who were concerned about death panels. They ridiculed Sarah Palin for her strong voice in that debate. They ridiculed ordinary citizens who went to the town meetings with congressmen to express shock and outrage about death panels.
Well, it turns out that the liberals are going to set up death panels through regulation rather than explicitly in legislation.
For all the liberals outrage at conservatives fear of death panels, it turns out that the conservatives were right, that the liberals did indeed plan to have death panels.
Why are liberals allowed to get away with outright lying, dissembling, etc.??????

People need to read this entire article. Almost the entire second page is devoted to the efforts to keep this quiet so they get no resistance.

Cost containment eventually will require the enforcement of some end of life protocol. This is step one.

But the Obama administration will achieve the same goal by regulation, starting Jan. 1.
Under the new policy, outlined in a Medicare regulation, the government will pay doctors who advise patients on options for end-of-life care, which may include advance directives to forgo aggressive life-sustaining treatment. What liberals cannot achieve by legislation, they will try to achieve by Judicial Fiat. If they fail at judicial fiat, they will work through unelected bureaucracies that, in essence, write legislation.
If they fail in these ways, they work through the culture in a "drip" fashion, until their goals become "acceptable".
Republicans who think this jackass is someone who will "move to the center" or act in "good faith" after his ass-kicking in November are ignoramuses. Hussein and his allies need to CRUSHED in the arena of ideas--NO COMPROMISE.

Not if we are all taxed into poverty.

They just can't let it go.
Maybe they'd like to indulge in a bit of it themselves and we'll be the judge of whether or not it works ~ ON THEM!
Bwahahahahahaha!

Death Panels are a lot more subtle than that. Doesn't make them less deadly. That's the key right there. Medicine has become such a technical and specialized field, the average person would not know if a Dr. was withholding options. Sure, if called on it the Doc could say such and such procedure or protocol was "experimental" or "had problems" with this interaction or that in XYZ's case. Anything aggressive is probably also going to be risky, and a Doc could cover their backside (and the hospital's and the insurance company's...) with a bunch of "best interests of the patient" BS.

Why are liberals allowed to get away with outright lying, dissembling, etc.? Because they're good at it. Actually, the RATs paid dearly for it in Congress.
Those that survived did so only because their constituents are as corrupt and stupid as they are.

After what I have read through this, it looks like my nursing services to the elderly via Medicare will be denied me when my time comes.
