No Labels: Liberalism Without Labels
Human Events ^ | 12/21/2010 | Tony Lee

Though the group is barely formed, two things seem patently obvious. First, since elite liberals have failed in branding themselves as “liberal” and then “progressives” in a country that is center-right, No Labels seems to be another center-left attempt at re-branding the movement. Taken in this light, the group’s deciding not to have a label says a lot about how poorly any group or policy that has an overt center-left tag performs in the center-right political marketplace.

Second, No Labels, which purportedly seeks consensus on a range of issues, accomplished its primary goal of bringing together the left, right, and center in its very first week of operation. Americans of all political persuasions saw the futility of an elitist, wishy-washy, center-left group that lacks core principles yet attempts to become the arbiters and imposers of what they deem to be “sound” political discourse and policy.

That leftist ideology is abhorrent to the majority of people, to decent people who haven’t had their consciences seared.

That is why they always cloak their motives as being for some victim group, groups they have themselves created and victimized. It is either for the children, for the elderly, for the minorities, for the poor, etc. Usually, none of these groups need help and are worse off after a few years of being helped.

A good example is the supposed poverty level in this country. Our poverty level would be a pretty high standard in most other countries but they instead pretend that America is like some third world country with true poverty. Yet, by claiming poverty in this country it allows them to demand that "The richest country in the world" do something about it. That something is usually another big government program.

Another example is their current destruction of our economy and our job market while proclaiming the fair thing would be perpetual unemployment benefits. It is just backdoor socialism.

The big picture is that this minority of Marxists, spearheaded by the likes of George Soros, wants to rule the world. In order to do that they must first remove their biggest roadblock - the USA. We are the freest, the most prosperous (for all our citizens), the most economically and militarily powerful country in the world. The center of that is FREEDOM, as in free enterprise. They are using our high moral values and our generous spirit to destroy us through Death From a Thousand Cuts. Each liberal program for the (you name the victims) is another cut.

The wealth, prosperity and military might of the United States has allowed the predominantly Christian populace to send (and defend) missionaries worldwide.

I believe this is the primary underlying reason for wanting to take America down.

Hmmm… they may want to follow “the formers” footsteps and use a symbol instead.

From the create-a-collective-collectivists: no labels, no accountability, no standards, no judgement.

If you need any proof on this attempt at bringing us down, one only needs to look at their actions and the results so far, that alone should tell you what the oppressive democrats intend on doing.

Ever notice that the Left is NEVER held accountable for their disastrous and oppressive policy ideas?

The always fall back on “There just wasn’t enough funding (or time) for it to work”.

{No Matter how much money or time is spent in the matter}

And If that doesn’t work they use the old standby BS: “We had Good intentions, and it would have been worse without our actions”.

{That way the same ideas can be recycled time and time again with no accountability and no repercussions}

The wealth, prosperity and military might of the United States has allowed the predominantly Christian populace to send (and defend) missionaries worldwide.

I think Christianity would have, and will continue to, spread regardless of military might. That is the nature of Christianity. It certainly was not the intent of the powerful Roman Empire to spread Christianity but it happened anyway.

I believe this is the primary underlying reason for wanting to take America down.

If we modify that to simply the denial of God, or of Christianity, instead of just the elimination of missionaries, I will agree. Hedonistic secularists can't tolerate a just and judgmental God. Sin is their forte'. God must be banned!

Every day. The faulty-premise, architecture/infrastructure/collectives/MANDATES...they create/fund/IMPOSE on individuals are criminal. They even create language insulating them from discussion or attacking alternative voices..."third rail", "penumbra", "jobs created or saved", "compartmentalize", "vast right-wing conspiracy", "hope and change", etc., etc....all the while advancing the collectivist/totalitarian agenda.

Yet, how many of their elitist counterparts point out ANY of these tactics/collectives/actions. They never verbally get in their faces, or rarely undo their destructive architecture? It becomes the precedent that chips away our liberty and diminishes our life and the lives of our children and grandchildren.

Okay, now you’ve hit on a hot button issue with me. It drives me crazy when the people that are supposed to be on the side of liberty and freedom knuckle under to the creeping Incrementalism from the Left.

Don’t they understand that all that propaganda about bipartisanship and compromise is meant to get them to compromise their principles?

This instead of the misleading label ‘Progressive’ they have applied to themselves. Not only implies that if you resist their agenda that you are against ‘Progress’ {whatever the heck that means} but the definition of the word is so vague it could mean almost anything.

The changes brought by Fascism and Communism to Western and Eastern Europe in the 20th century were not "progress". Yet it is the same "big government provides all solutions" mentality.

Our founding fathers sought to establish something different. And the red diaper doper babies hate to see it thriving while the other systems collapse.

Socialism is expansive. Might as well call them "incrementals" as you would "progressive" since that is how they accomplish their goals, "incrementally" (or progressively). But like all progressive systems, it's a ponzi scheme. The promises can not all be delivered and the payments for those entitlements keep going up and those drawing on the system keep raising in number as well.

Exactly, they want to use words that disguise their true intentions and beliefs.

Many like using the word Oppressive instead of Progressive – besides being very similar it is also an honest description of the extreme Left.

As in Oppressive in control over people lives.

But I suppose once the ‘progress’ moniker wears out it’s welcome, they’ll move on to other misleading labels, who knows, they might try calling themselves the ‘Roses and Rainbows’ party, but nothing truthful.
