I am all for more people of color joining the GOP, but I am against the further Rinofication of the party. We need more Tea Party patriots, not moderates. to swing the tide towards a solid constitutional conservatism.

Agree! I was thinking the same thing, lots of Dems moving to Rep. are just going to add to the RINO list. They are infiltrating and we go one step back

I’m really happy with it. Blacks are abandoning the Liberal Plantation. If the Democrats can’t hold onto to their black base... they’re toast in the South. Expect more minority officeholders to jump ship.

I understand what you are saying, but with the Dims’ base now openly expressing dissatisfaction with where the Dim party has gone it may serve to moderate the party itself, and the far lefties that have taken over the party will be marginalized. Moreover, those Dims who come over to our side may actually be, or will become, more conservative than RINOs.

I agree. Lots of Black Americans have conservative values. The Tea Party is a doing a good job of bringing some of these people in. Same thing with Hispanic Americans. A lot of these folks are waking up to the realization that the Dem Party offers nothing but dependency and despair.

There is a real potential out there and I would welcome these folks in.

I agree. It’s like having a party, and your close friends invite “their” friends whom you dont know who have the potential to ruin the party overnight.

The same reason why I would prefer crazy, liberal, hard left Democrats because you know where they stand.

Many blacks are conservatives but are muzzled by Democratic enforcers in their own communities. The Democratic Party can’t reward and punish any more. What the media won’t tell you is that when the GOP becomes more than just a White Man’s Party, the last vestige of the Old South is gone.

Democratic Party had grown too liberal and they are finding a new home with the Republicans.

I like the reason given, let's hope they are sincere.

Yup. That’s all that’s going to be left of the Democrats. Hard core leftists who can’t win elections. They are already de-evolving fast in that direction. All we need to do is help them get to hell faster.

It wouldnt even surprise me that they change the word “Democrat Party” and merge with the Communist Party. Might as well get it over with..

Jesus said a man can’t serve two masters and that presents big problems for the demoKKKrat party; there are major and glaring conflicts between the interests of the groups which comprise it, none bigger than the conflict between the party’s NEA paymasters and the inner city people who are the major victims of the NEA and other govt. unions.

Well, then people like Allen West (who grew up in Atlanta) and Tim Scott should serve as a great inspiration for empowerment from the state and it’s tentacles.

Imagine their surprise when they find out the people putting up the hangman’s noose and burning crosses on their lawns were actually fellow democrats just trying to scare them into staying in the party.

Not a huge surprise. Both of these fellows have long been considered conservative democrats. They were outsiders in their former party. The commissioner’s GOP constituents were already his fans. Both are nice guys. They will be happy as Republicans. There are two or three other well-known black office holders in the GAGOP.
