When will Americans declare the Transportation Security Administration a terrorist organization?
The TSA has evolved far beyond shaking down little old ladies for hair gel and children for liquid-filled snow globes.
Now it snaps naked pictures with creepy Advanced Imaging Technology machines, subjecting you to unknown health risks from radiation. And if you don't want to submit to this high-tech horror, one of its tub stackers will gladly pat down your genitals instead.
Several U.S. senators last week told TSA Director John Pistole that maybe his agency has gone too far. Ya think?
"I wouldn't want my wife being touched in the way these folks are being touched," Sen. George LeMieux, (R., Fla.) cried.

Unfortunately, it’s a correct usage of the word, even if it is (almost) archaic. If taken in light of the “town crier” from days of yore, it isn’t derogatory.
The author appears to know that most modern readers will not understand that nuance, though.

You got that right. I watched his “testimony” last week. He came across as very arrogant (”we will not budge”) and his answers were often evasive. Even the committee seemed to be getting frustrated with his lack of candor. Of course, they then thank him and adjourn. And we still have what we have.

He's also one of those arrogant professional government hacks whose first instinct in the face of public criticism is to NOT listen to the public, but to circle the wagons and double-down, thereby pissing people off even more.
My guess is that he will not last long in this job, with the howls of outrage currently echoing throughout America's airports over TSA's brutal incompetence.

There will have to be a major reason to get in a line to let the TSA —using their gloves which are not changed between their sexual assaults—to grab more junk.
