Surprise! Canadian travellers to the United States are now subject to having high school dropouts touch their breasts, penises and vaginas as part of airline security.
Sorry, do the words penis and vagina make you uncomfortable?
They certainly make the U.S. Transportation Security Administration uncomfortable.
The TSA cant even bring themselves to use those words when describing their new enhanced pat-down procedure.
You will find them nowhere on their website, including their section on advice for travellers.
They have pages about how to pack your toothpaste.
But they dont tell you that you will stand in line while a stranger touches you in places that, if done by anyone else, would lead to sexual assault charges.
Oh, by the way: Their touching of penises and vaginas isnt limited to adults.
They grope children, too. In the past two weeks, the Internet has been flooded by videos taken by passengers on their cellphone cameras, filming their own screaming children being fondled by uniformed officials.
So whats the new rule for parents to teach our children?
Dont let strangers touch your privatesunless they say theyre allowed to?
Unless they are in a position of authority? Unless Barack Obama says its OK?
Speaking of which, where is the American Civil Liberties Union? They love suing the TSA when they think that agency is too strict on Muslim or Arab passengers. But they dont have a word to say about the new policy of sexual harassment.
Right now, North Americas official civil libertarians are too busy campaigning for the rights of terrorists to care about the fact millions of Americans and Canadian tourists are being sexually assaulted.
Without a trace of irony, the TSA says its officers are rigorously trained to maintain the highest levels of professionalism.
A perusal of the TSAs help wanted ads shows just how rigorously trained they are: Their officers need to be 18 years old and speak English.
Thats about it.
A high school diploma is recommended, but isnt necessary if they have worked for a year as a security guard say, at a local mall or as a bouncer in a bar.
And all that power, and touching children in their privates to check for bombs, comes with a starting salary of $29,000.
In some airports, the alternative to these assaults is strip-search scanners that use low-dose radiation to peer underneath your clothes. Both the TSA and the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority claim those scanners dont store or print images. But a CNN investigation shows those scanners have hard drives, USB ports, Ethernet ports and changeable privacy settings.
A pilot from Skywest was going through security in Denver with his 18-year-old daughter and overheard a TSA officer saying into his headset, heads up, got a cutie for you.
So what would you rather do? Have a bouncer touch your privates, and your childrens privates through your clothes? Or have a bouncer see you naked on a TV screen?
Forget our civil liberties.
Who is a greater threat to the airline industry: Terrorists, or the fools in charge of this sham security?
Just read a good solution to this.....
AIRPORT BODY SCANNER solution
Wonder why nobody thought of this before? Here’s a solution to all the
controversy over full-body scanners at the airports:
All we need to do is develop a booth that you can step into that will not
X-ray you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have hidden on
or in your body. The explosion will be contained within the sealed booth.
This would be a win-win for everyone. There would be no racial profiling
and the device would eliminate long and expensive trials. This is so simple it’s brilliant!
I can see it now: you’re in the airport terminal and you hear a muffled
explosion. Shortly thereafter an announcement comes over the PA system,
“Attention standby passengers, we now have a seat available on flight number...”
And there goes the travel/airline industry.
Inintended consequences seems the be the watchword for this administration.
“All we need to do is develop a booth that you can step into that will not X-ray you, but will detonate any explosive device you may have hidden on or in your body. The explosion will be contained within the sealed booth.”
It is brilliant except for one flaw, a device that will detonate any bomb doesnt exist. I have an alternative solution which is to make every passenger touch a piece of bacon before getting on a plane. Anyone who refuses gets a body cavity search.
Still, it would be fun to see it implemented just for the entertainment value. :-)
If the TSA can push the bounds of improper search and seizure in the name of safety, why can’t it push the bounds of discrimination and implement some profile schemes like the Israelis?
I have a good friend who recently went through a pat down in an airport.
When the TSA agent got too close to private parts, she ‘broke wind’ very loudly into his face.
The TSA agent got the point.
FORM TWO LINES PLEASE: Irradiation or Humiliation. A third line goes to the bus terminal.
Obama, the Marxist Muslim, continues to get the blame for TSA groping. HURRAY!!!!
BTW, Pilots and Flight Attendants should not be exempted. They could collude with Muslim Terrorists and be the mules bringing explosives into the airport secure zones.
When will the American people call a halt to Political Correctness and rise to the level of common sense?
FReepers would go nuts at that, since many would be prevented from boarding.
What...to stop non-Christian Semites?
He was always s snivelling little prick who used to like to laugh about the suckers he screwed over when we were teens.
He is currently on permanent disability because he hurt his back while screening passengers at Logan.
He married an illegal who is now a legal.
His family's disowned him because of the Mexican wife.
He owns a small summer house on Cape Cod that was in the will when his father died.
Last time I was with him (I painted his house) I almost took his little peashooter .25 that he likes to play with when drunk. I was going to stick it in his bum and pop it off a few times.
I figured it was not worth it, as he has become very fat and hard to dispose of.
If the TSA can push the bounds of improper search and seizure in the name of safety, why cant it push the bounds of discrimination and implement some profile schemes like the Israelis?
FReepers would go nuts at that, since many would be prevented from boarding.
Can you explain why FReepers would be prevented from boarding?
“Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action.”
Obamacare.
Gays openly in military.
Gulf drilling ban.
Deliberate wrecking of airline and vacation industries.
That’s four, and there are probably more cases of Obama always selecting the option that will do maximum damage to the USA.
rigorously trained to maintain the highest levels of professionalism.
There’s a professional way to teach what they’re doing? Who teaches it?
They insist they use the backs of their hands in their pat downs! Pictures taken and posted show the opposite to be true. Even if they did use the back of their hands, how much could a person feel doing it that way? Bulges? Then that would call for a further inspection, wouldn’t it?
Simple solution. Just read this....
