Student fees protest: 'This is just the beginning' (Riots, Bloodshed by Leftists in UK)

Tens of thousands of students took to the streets of London today in a demonstration that spiralled out of control when a fringe group of protesters hurled missiles at police and occupied the building housing Conservative party headquarters.

Tonight both ministers and protesters acknowledged that the demonstration – by far the largest and most dramatic yet in response to the government's austerity measures – was "just the beginning" of public anger over cuts. Police, meanwhile, were criticised for failing to anticipate the scale of the disorder.

An estimated 52,000 people, according to the National Union of Students, marched through central London to display their anger over government plans to increase tuition fees while cutting state funding for university teaching. A wing of the protest turned violent as around 200 people stormed 30 Millbank, the central London building that is home to Tory HQ, where police wielding batons clashed with a crowd hurling placard sticks, eggs and some bottles. Demonstrators shattered windows and waved anarchist flags from the roof of the building, while masked activists traded punches with police to chants of "Tory scum".

This is disgusting. The leftists don't even hide their bloodlust anymore. The video will make you cringe.

It begins with footage of the scum gathering at the "School of Oriental and African Studies, London" and shows some Marxist getting all twisted up because other people (who pay taxes) won't be picking up their tuition tabs as much as before.

Then, the video gets progressively worse, and shows an all out riot perpetrated by the Democrats......errr....liberals.

I think just about all British political parties would be considered leftist in Great Britain, from a U.S. perspective, to say the least? The real issue here is one has to seriously wonder what about Europe is triggering such an apparent loss of civility and polarity amongst the population right now? There’s obviously some things that advocates of the “European Way” aren’t making known if mass riots in Europe are somehow a shock overseas to hear about.

Most of the liberal students’ parents in the USA can still pay their tuition. Those working their way through college, like I did, are far too busy to congregate on the streets and riot.

I don’t know the situation in England, but I’m guessing that they are a generation ahead of us in terms of parents being tapped out to pay for their kids’ college.

Kill zone, automatic weapons, problem solved.

Look at this related article. Sure puts things in perspective. Our colleges and universities are raping parents.

Students Riot in London Over Tuition Fee Rises

An estimated 50,000 students, lecturers and supporters took in part in the demonstration against the ruling coalition's policy of charging students up to $14,500 a year for their education from 2012. That might seem like a relatively small bill when compared with the cost of an American college degree, but it's a massive and unexpected hike for ordinary Brits, who currently pay just $5,300 in annual fees.

Now, here is a dirtly little secret: there are 2 tuition scales at American colleges and universities, one for whites, and one for "minorities."

The college tuition scam

"The higher education industry has ruthlessly exploited its privileged role as the assigner of prestige to young adults beginning their professional lives, in order to grab a larger share of national income. Tuition has increased substantially faster than inflation for the last half century, rising from 6% to 9% a year over any 17 year period, between 1958 and 2001, ranging from 1.2 times to 2.1 times the underlying general inflation rate. At the same time, the industry engages in unconscionable practices, including rampant price discrimination —— charging different prices to different customers, based on management's preferences for certain kinds of customers over others. If a car dealer, steel producer, or grocery store gave massive discounts to some groups of customers, based on demographic and wealth characteristics, they would quickly encounter public outrage and legal consequences. But by calling its price discrimination 'financial aid,' the higher education industry cloaks its actions in the garb of charity.

The little darlings, the immigrants, and the socialists have a good scam going in the UK: an education system that is highly subsidized, and a sympathetic media that will cover up the worst of their actions.

Their "higher education" did not seem to improve their vocabulary.

If the government is robbing from the taxpayers to give to the banksters, these people have a valid reason to protest - their parents, they themselves, and their children are on the hook as taxpayers to make the banksters rich. You reap what you sow, government, and it is bloodshed.

Because, dammit, they shouldn’t have to PAY for something that is going to bring them good money when they finish.

Someone ELSE should pay THEIR way.

Effers.

What a great picture for the “I should not have to pay” entitlement mentality.

Are you missing the larger issue?

They are demanding free education.

Why should someone else have to pay for something they elect to pursue?

Yes, I agree with you, they need a free-market system so that they have the funds to pay for their education and so that the cost is reasonable.

However, they are hypocrites, because it is this socialist mentality that is necessitating the cost increase.

Whenever someone else is paying for something, there will be an overuse of that good or service. Once that happens, cost must increase in order to provide enough to meet demand.

So while these ignorant little red-faced screamers are demanding something be given to them for free, they are completely ignorant of the fact that it is not free because their socialist government is already giving away more than they can afford to.

And what’s the government’s reaction?

Soak those that have discretionary funds, because they have more than they should.

Let them all burn each other up in their riots.

I’ll bring the sticks and hot dogs.
