It could give a sense of superior American organisation, or be an indicator of a deep-set persecution complex. It could also be a manifestation of Uncle Sam’s penchant for a show of strength.
The matter pertains to US president Barack Obama’s planned visit to Mani Bhavan —the Gandhi museum — on November 6, soon after he reaches Mumbai. On Monday, US secret agents visited the museum to plan Obama’s security detail.
They were accompanied by officers of Mumbai Police and civic officials of the D ward (where Mani Bhavan is located). While inspecting the route and the buildings lining up the route to the museum, the Americans detected a skyscraper near Peddar road and also found the area to be highly populated.
Since it is difficult to monitor such a congested area, they came up with a quick solution which left the Indians accompanying them amazed: A bomb-proof over-ground tunnel — to be installed by US military engineers in just an hour.
The tunnel would be a kilometre long and measure 12ft by 12ft — enough to let Obama’s cavalcade pass through. The tunnel would be centrally air-conditioned, fitted with close-circuit television cameras, and will be heavily guarded at every point, including, of course, its entry and exit.
The message to India surely is: you have a lot of crazy Amish and 3rd world security measures. Stay well away from our glorious leader!

The message to India is: “We don’t trust you or your people.” How utterly elitist and insulting. I am ashamed that this ... person (can’t even call him a man anymore) is representing our Country. Sorry India, we’ll be correcting this mistake ASAFP.

This technology has been around for the past couple of years and has been widely used by the President and the leaders of both houses of Congress. It is referred to as a "bubble."
We can build a mile long security tunnel in one hour, but we can’t seem to build a security fence along our border, no matter how much time we have.

Sadly, the Secret Service has had to work really hard to protect this president. In a world where we’re told not to name our enemies, where up is down and PC think is de rigeur, anyone who isn’t a little paranoid is probably nuts.

If we toss in another billion will they take the Clinton’s too? Only catch, it’s a one way ticket for all of them.
I should point out I am NOT including the military and secret service in that 3000 (if they are counted in that 3000) as clowns. They are doing their job, and I am sure the first thing they said about this trip is DON’T DO IT!

Finally, do a search of Free Republic. There have been a lot of articles on the trip and costs. A lot of people are doing a lot of lying if these numbers aren't true.
