9/11 Commission Air Cargo Screening Mandate, Fake Terror and an October Surprise

News of suspicious packages arriving from Yemen plundered the country into a panicked state of fear Friday morning. Some are calling it a fake terror plot (see videos below) thanks to the President’s remarks four days before the midterm election. Such an October surprise cannot be discounted entirely, but the point of this article is to chastise the Obama administration for dragging it’s feet on the 9/11 Commission air cargo screening mandate whether this particular scare today is a contrived fake terror plot or not.

Our security services aren’t in the business of glory hunting. They’re paid to deal with security matters in a DISCREET fashion, and that’s what they do. Ditto COBRA and the Prime Minister. That they don’t go running off to the media at the first hint of a successful interception of a terrorist device, is a GOOD thing.

I have this little cartoon in my head of Cameron talking to Obama: “Really? A Bomb? In Britain? Thanks for telling me! No, I didn’t know. But your guys are handling it. Thank God for the Americans, you’ve saved us all, yet again!”.

With a little thinks bubble next to it: “I really want to remind this narcissistic, pompous cretin that it was our guys who told his guys about it in the first place and at least I know when to keep my trap shut... No. Must be diplomatic. Must be diplomatic.”

Do you know of a good summary article on that? I know what my impression is given the ongoing events at the time, but I haven’t seen a good post-mortem focusing on that.

All we’ve heard so far is FedEx and UPS are no longer going to ship items from Yemen.

Like that's going to stop Achmed from sending bombs to various cousins around other middle eastern countries and then on to the US and England. Or Achmed could just as easily walk them across the border to get them stamped from SA or Oman. Easier still, there's countless cells right here in America willing and able to do the job.

Ya know, I just realized to what extent I don’t believe anything my usurping government tells me. If Janet Napolotano told me I was sitting on a bomb, and I was, I would not believe her.

Hmmm gets weirder. Woman arrested in Yemen for bomb plot. Now why or how would a woman know how to build bombs in a country that thinks women are worth less than a goat? SCAPEGOAT?

So, with the escalating panic reports of planes grounded here, planes grounded there, couple dozen packages missing, couple dozen found, more planes grounded - viable (a curious choice of words) bombs and on and on and on and on

And yet, nothing has blown up - nothing to what I hear right now. We are either faced with a disasterously incompetent enemy, or we are faced with a scheming, disasterously incompetent enemy - one that a large portion of this country voted for in the waning days of 2008.

Obviously other governments did there part in exposing this plot. But the Obama administration just wanted to cover it up, and had no concern for those other countries.
