GOP says 'wave' coming; Dems sure they'll keep Congress
NY Post ^ | October 24, 2010 | AP

The Republican Party chief today forecast a wave of anti-Democratic voting on Election Day while his Democratic counterpart said a strong get-out-the-vote effort would hold back losses and help keep Congress out of GOP hands.

Nine days before elections that will decide whether President Barack Obama will face a Republican Congress, party chairman Michael Steele said he has seen a groundswell and energy behind GOP candidates as he has traveled around the country.

"I think you are going to see a wave, an unprecedented wave on Election Day that is going to surprise a lot of people," Steele said.

Steele said he believes "absolutely" that Republicans will gain the seats needed to become the majority party in the House and thus oust Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. He was less certain that Republicans will take over the Senate.

Tim Kaine, the Democratic National Committee chairman, expressed confidence that Democrats would retain power in both chambers. He argued that early voting and turnout at rallies for Democratic candidates are evidence that the party's "ground game" will prevent the disaster some are predicting for the party.

"From this point forward it's all about turnout and ground game," Kaine said. "We've got work to do, but we think we can do it."

And don’t forget the millions and millions of dollars that the unions have poured into Dem coffers this year. Do you think they’re just going to roll over for some kind of “wave” of enthusiasm? They’ll knock themselves out dragging ever loser they can find to the polls and they’ll break every rule in the book to try to salvage something from their investment.

The GOP needs to prepare for “Democrat Voter Fraud” on an unprecedented scale.
After all, who’s going to prosecute them? Eric Holder?

I am sure Mr. Holder’s better ready for some serious hearings.

I’d say that all depends on the makeup and attitude of the leadership of a new, GOP-run House.

The current group would, I think, be too timid to go hard after Holder. To much danger of being called “racists,” you know.

Agreed. We need to be very, very vigilant. The democrats think they know better than anyone what is best for everyone, and they will easily ‘go into the night’. They will do anything to hold on to power.

I was really happy when Kaine became the head of the DNC. He is the most clueless buffoon who has ever held political office in Virginia. Absolutely the worst Governor we ever had! He is in the PERFECT job!

The Dems do it all the time and when has it ever gotten them in trouble?

FLOTUS campaigned in a polling place. No one seemed to notice.

For a true conservative revolution, the MSM needs to die.

“Look for mysterious “boxes of uncounted ballots” to be found in close races. The Dems do it all the time and when has it ever gotten them in trouble?”

You are correct, and I blame the ‘gentleman Republican’ persona for this. Voter fraud needs to be dealt with fiercely, with long jail sentences and prosecutions of anyone and everyone connected to it. It cannot be tolerated. For years we winked and nodded as a society at places like Chicago, and their ‘vote early vote often’ playbook. We should never have tolerated any of it. By allowing this kind of filth to fester we got to where we are now. It has to stop. If is doesn't, the US will implode.

Yes.

I’m thinking of Coleman’s half-hearted opposition to Franken’s tactics.

They were so transparently crooked that he should have carried the fight all the way to SCOTUS if necessary. But that’s not the pubbie way, is it?

Coleman got gypped in ‘08, and Dino Rossi had the WA state governor's election stolen from in in ‘04 by almost the same tactics from the ‘Rats: contest the election, drag out recount after recount, “find” batches of “lost” ballots time and time again, until you “miraculously” have just enough votes to get your ‘Rat into office. The mistake both Coleman and Rossi made was to trust the courts to arbitrate a fair and impartial resolution. The courts won't do that, when it comes to a crooked election stolen by the ‘Rats. I'm coming to the viewpoint that the only way to assure fairness in disputed elections is to pound on doors (like in FL in 2000) or take it to the streets. But that isn't the ‘Pub way, either, is it?

No it isn’t and it bugs me to hear all these glowing predictions of a GOP tidal wave, blah blah, next week.

Such rosy forecasts must assume honest elections. More comment should be made about the likelihood of just the opposite and, in clearly close races, calls for close scrutiny should be shouted from the rooftops.

I fully expect Rossi to have a target on his back once again this time.

BINGO!
You’re right. They MSM has played this up to the point that if the ‘Pubbies fail to take both the House and Senate, it will be a “victory” for the Democrats, Obama and “Change.” And folks here and in the Republican party have played right into it.

Farmers are without a doubt ‘Good Folk’, but most farmers vote for the RATS. A sad but true fact.
