The Republican Party chief today forecast a wave of anti-Democratic voting on Election Day while his Democratic counterpart said a strong get-out-the-vote effort would hold back losses and help keep Congress out of GOP hands.
Nine days before elections that will decide whether President Barack Obama will face a Republican Congress, party chairman Michael Steele said he has seen a groundswell and energy behind GOP candidates as he has traveled around the country.
"I think you are going to see a wave, an unprecedented wave on Election Day that is going to surprise a lot of people," Steele said.
Steele said he believes "absolutely" that Republicans will gain the seats needed to become the majority party in the House and thus oust Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. He was less certain that Republicans will take over the Senate.
Tim Kaine, the Democratic National Committee chairman, expressed confidence that Democrats would retain power in both chambers. He argued that early voting and turnout at rallies for Democratic candidates are evidence that the party's "ground game" will prevent the disaster some are predicting for the party.
"From this point forward it's all about turnout and ground game," Kaine said. "We've got work to do, but we think we can do it."

The generic difference between GOP and Democrat (5-7%) likely voter makes it clear it doesn't matter if the Democrats vote in huge numbers, they are going to still be overwhelemed.

I see the turnover in congress as grabbing a handhold just before going over the cliff. I remains to be seen if we have the strength to pull ourselves back to the top to resume our climb.
It is not going to be easy without some very drastic actions. The only way we can restore confidence in investors and businesses is serious slashing of spending and it will not play well with voters.
We’ve been here before and the only way out is to confirm that we will indeed honor our debts and pay them down however painful that may be. The other option is to completely crash and burn. That will be more painful.
They really aren't. They just can't go out and tell their minions, "yeah, we are going to get blown out..."
i guess I’m paranoid but have you noticed several races that a week ago had the repub up by double digits have suddenly become tossups?
I think those races have been ‘fixed’ with vote counting fraud.
By polls indicating close races it makes the thrown races seem more plausible.
Two that come to mind, Ohio gov. Kasich, and Pa. senate, Toomey.
A week or two ago both were easy repub victories, now polling tight.
I’ve asserted here all along that Democrat machine tactics will be very effective in countering the individual enthusiasm on the right.
They are the experts at the “ground game” and it will payoff for them for a couple percentage points. Hanky-panky in vote counting could make up the difference.
Look for mysterious “boxes of uncounted ballots” to be found in close races. The Dems do it all the time and when has it ever gotten them in trouble?
Yeah and lots of those polls have come from newspapers and universities. Whereas the major polling firms show things holding steady. The whole aim of those polls is psyops in getting you to have doubts and become discouraged to depress GOP turnout and provide hope to Rats to get them to come out.
Overall the pubbies are way ahead but in the brain-dead blue states like CA, WA, and IL, they don’t have enough support to overcome standard Dem machine tactics and flim-flam.

Hey Tim the facts disprove your point decisively:

There you go....grant the Dems SoS’s in a majority of states and allow somebody like Holder to be AG and you can hardly blame some of us for being skeptical of GOP predictions of sweeping victories.
Go to the polls and vote for the best conservative candidates possible but don’t be surprised if we get scammed again.
I think that polls do a poor job of reflecting the rage.
A good map.

Locked in and incumbant.... D 47 R 41
In play - CT, CA, CO, IL, KY, NV, PA, WA, WV, MO, NH, WI
R wins CO, IL, KY, NV, MO, NH, WI
D wins CT, CA, PA, WA, WV (dim slime machine steals PA, and WV)
Final tally D 52 R 48, and MSNBC reporta a huge democratic victory. OF course MSNBC will not even cover the Teanami in the house.
You heard it here first. :)

Were Zer0 and his DoJ will take the nation as it relates to this is troublesome at best.
Just stay alert, watch your back, and say a prayer for America.
With any luck the Republicans will at least win the House and they can crawl up Holder’s tookus with a microscope.
I’ll bet 90% of the election boards, the overseers of elections are run by dims.
I’m getting more paranoid.
I actually think there are enough voters outside shitcago (farmers are good folk) to put IL in the red column.
Either that, or they think their syking us out (Ha!! XD )
