My condolences to her family, however, I’ll shed no tears for this far-left Liberal’s passing...

I have loved ones who have battled cancer and won and others who have battled cancer and lost.

In the end, we all lose. Or win. It depends on your POV.

May God have mercy on her soul, and may she rest in peace.

Ouch. I spent 7 days in a hospital because of a blood clot in my abdomen. I have never experienced pain like that - ever. I’m on Coumadin for the rest of my life because of it.

RIP Jenny. So sorry you lost your battle.

Right. She was a dem. As is that woman in the assembly who keeps getting reelected and is suffering from pretty severe dementia. Her name escapes me, but sometimes John and Ken will play audio of some of her inappropriate outbursts. It is clear that she is unaware of her surroundings, yet she shows up so her handlers can manipulate her.

Prayers to their loved ones. I just lost both my parents to cancer. Mother (pancreatic) and father (prostate) so I can relate to their family’s pain. My Dad’s funeral is tomorrow. Heaven just gained a first class husband, father, dentist, and veteran. They were married 63 years and are back together now.

Extremely liberal, but then again, all the Democrats in this area of southern California are. May she rest in peace.

I'm hoping Star Parker can beat Laura Richardson in the 37th Congressional district...Richardson with all her foreclosed homes, etc. Her approval numbers have taken quite a hit due to her questionable financial dealings. It's a long shot, but it would be something for a Republican to win here!

Thanks for the heads-up. I have loved ones who have battled cancer and won and others who have battled cancer and lost. I don’t think anyone here would have ever voted for her, but I hate seeing anyone fall to cancer.

You're welcome. I also have some that have won and lost. It is not a pleasant way to go. May she rest in peace.

Never heard of her, but then we sold our place at 59th, and California in NLB, and moved to Riverside in 1987. NOT fond of LB even though that’s where I grew up. Fremont, Jefferson, Wilson.

Fremont Elementary, Jefferson Middle School, Wilson High School...I think those were what you were referring to...

Yeah, grew up in Belmont Heights. Left LB in ‘87 disgusted with the City. NOT a good place to live anymore.

As one of 26 Latinos in the Legislature, Oropeza chaired the California Latino Caucus Policy Committee on Environmental Justice.

Upon election to the State Senate, Oropeza introduced 24 bills. The policy areas ranged from preventing smoking in cars while minors are present (SB 7) to increasing the efforts of the California State Controller to contact the owners of unclaimed property (SB 920). She introduced legislation in the areas of local sales, massage therapy, teacher credentials, and air pollution in ports.
