World Net Daily ^ | 09/11/2010 | Drew Zahn

The recent health-care reform legislation carries a controversial mandate that all Americans obtain health insurance, but careful study of the passed law reveals there are some groups – the Amish, for example – that can obtain an exemption. Mandates to force you to purchase anything is unconstitutional and unamerican. But then to include exemptions for certain religions makes it discriminatory to boot. This Health Care Reform bill must be repealed and defunded.

Some religions are more equal than others.

It IS unconstitutional even without a religious exemption provision.

But with it, there’s a more powerful line of attack against its constitutionality.

Imagine a large religious group - no matter which one it is - just a large one with hundreds of thousands or millions of adherents, being exempted while everyone else is under this sick monstrosity of a bill.

A bunch of other groups will go to court or will beg Obama - in return for their support - to exempt them as well.

Others will be left to suffer and suffer and suffer under this tyranny.

I would love to be arguing this before the courts...

Yes, Amish and Mennonites are apparently exempt. Christians who are active in their form of fellowship and are members of voluntary organizations that band together to pay the medical expenses of their members are also apparently exempt.

It is a Jizya tax. If you are a Christian or a Jew in a muslim country you can and usually are taxed for not being a Muslim.

ObamaCare is the first Islamic Tax on non-muslims.

For Muslims, however, Social Security is considered a form of caring for the poor, rather than an insurance gamble.

But, for most Americans Social Security IS an insurance gamble.

Let’s pause a moment and ponder our choices.

Do we all convert to Islam, or join the Amish?

Pros and Cons, everyone. Which is best?

(sarc, in case you don’t know me very well)

You can turn your back on moderate Amish but watch out for radical Amish.

The line for the recruiter is over here.

There are also “modernized” variants on Amish, such as the Mennonites who have no problem accommodating electricity, automobiles, etc. in their lives. I don’t know if this extends to shunning insurance and other affairs that are based on “chance.”

LOL! Nice fotochop. I was thinking more along the lines of a radical Amish behind every blade of grass, though.

That may be the reason there is no one in the rig!
