"Why is it so hard for people to see we have a fight for our country going on within our country?...."

I don't but then again I do to a certain point. When you figure it out let me know.

“You have nothing to fear from an Obama Presidency” Juan McCain 2008.

Yup....JD made a great concession speech..no need to call and congratulate McCain. It was a very dirty race on McCain's side.

You are right.

We must maintain our dignity and do what is proper.

I don’t live in AZ but I am so sick and tired of McPain.

I don’t understand your resoning. Because I wouldn’t vote for a guy who has sold his integrity to a company that touts free government money, I’m not a capitalist?

I know I’m going to get flamed, but this is what I expected from JD. He always struck me as kind of a used-car salesman. When you get beat that badly, it’s not simply a case of more money - it’s the voters just being not that into him.

Me too. As Michael Palin (Monty Python) once said, "I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired, I'm sick and tired".

Where is the reasoning that he sold his integrity by taking a job as a pitch man? Did he vote for any of that "free government money?" What does that have to do with his politics or his political record?

Quite a few FReepers feel the same about Fred Thompson doing ads for reverse mortgages but I don't see that either. Just honest work that pays bills.

I always thought that politicians call the winner even if you don’t agree with them on anything. I mean even Gore called Bush (before he took it back).

The point though, is lost on you.
The only "point" you tried to make was a vicious personal attack against me at #45 in which you explicitly suggested that I would end up in a padded room in a mental institution for failing to cease my opposition to McCain (see #34, the post replied to by yourself).

Typical behavior from just a liberal a**hole.

As far as I am concerned: one, McCain is still a treasonous bastard who has consorted with Communists, Islamic terrorists, and leftists of all stripes, behavior that is wholly unacceptable and wholly unforgivable for anyone claiming the mantle of conservatism; two, McCain is still in office; and, three, McCain still needs to be held accountable.

Absolutely. As it stands right now, there will be TWO Democrats on the Arizona ballot in November, McCain and whoever the 'Rat Party puts up against with McCain. It makes no difference who wins, there will still be a liberal-progressive 'Rat-scumbag representing Arizona, therefore McCain must go. Vote for his opponent. Throw his ass out.

It appears that point is lost on you, since you claimed at #68 that "what [I am] doing," i.e., my opposition to and attacks on McCain based on McCain's record, do not constitute "'fighting liberals'" (i.e., that McCain is not a liberal).

You're fighting liberals, you're dismantling 'jla' just fine Rabs, nice work.

If you want to defend McCain by discouraging those who are willing to hold him to public account for his record (and yes, posting on FR does count as doing so) from doing so, then maybe this isn't the right place for you.

Fixed that right up for ya Rabs, no charge.

And, some just like to take the high road. We don’t need to wallow in the mud just because the DEMS do.

JD needs to be gracious and extend his congratulations. He doesn’t need to support him or his candidacy, just be a gracious loser.

I’m sorry you are so wrong in your thinking. JD needs to show some class in this situation.

After reading some of these posts and the reaction from some on here, I’m kind of glad JD didn’t win. He hasn’t shown that he has a sportsmanlike attitude. People will remember this, should he ever decide to run for office again. Just because McCain is a jerk, doesn’t mean JD has to act like one as well.

Some of you may need to take a chill pill away from politics for a while. Taking our country back is very important, but, acting and being just as hateful as the DEMS isn’t very becoming.

If it were Benedict Arnold that had won the Arizona primary, would you think that a gracious message conceding would be required?

SCREW McCain, and kudos to J.D. for NOT legitimizing the win of that treasonous bastard.

John McCain will never receive a vote from me. EVER

This is not a person who belongs in the U.S. Senate.

Do you really think people care today about out politicians being good sportsman with the heat our country is facing? As I said before OBama “changed” the whole course of ediquette and proticol when he bowed to foreign ME nations...and now his recent action in delivering Arizona to the UN. McCain is on the wrong side of the American people....he gets not one iotta of respect from me...period....ever! He gave us Obama and that will always be my point of referance...traitor to us all.

Excellant link DoughtyOne....too bad Arizona didn’t consider this....and we’ll all suffer for it when he once again heads to Washington to play American Senator. The Democrates are happy campers their choir boy will return.

“JD has won enough elections to know the protocol. I am sure he expected and received a call in every one of the elections he won. For him not to call McCain is a form of poor sportsmanship and doesn’t make sense from what I’ve known of Hayworth.”

McCain ran the dirtiest campaign I’ve ever seen. Talk about breaking ettiquete. Sheesh.

McCain didn’t give us zero. The MSM’s hatred and daily bashing of GWB gave us obama. And, I’d like to add that the Republican party gave us obama. They ran a candidate who couldn’t win, much as they did when Bob Dole won the nomination.

It was a no win from the git go. The country thought they were getting a middle of the road Clinton, who would put this country back on track. Instead, they got Jimmy Carter II.

I’ll just disagree .....MCCain handed over the Pres. Office, he never called Bo out let alone put up a fight to win. There were of course other elements in the fray....like when all the other potential candidates dropped out and suddenly McCain got his “second wind”....there were some underhanded ploys taking place then. But McCain co-operated fully in sacrificing our country to Bo and still does.
