In a brief interview today, Senate Minority Leader Bill Raggio, R-Reno, said the states budget crisis is so great that a tax increase and an extension of the temporary 2009 tax increase may be necessary to keep government afloat.
Raggios comments came amid a growing chorus of state officials saying the reality of Nevadas looming $3 billion shortfall will necessitate a tax increase.

Let the taxpayers float.

When times are good, government grows with the extra cash
When times are bad, governement grows to meet the needs it committed to previously.

Bill should pour himself a tall cool glass of SHUT UP.

Right. And when they don’t have a choice?? Erect a fence to keep all current Nevadan’s locked in so they can pay 100% of their income to the gubbmit?
It may not “look” like the same state for a while; but Nevada could do with some healthy cuts; just like PA could use some serious slashing.
Nevada has Harry Reid to thank when their paychecks are reduced. If he’s re-elected, they can walk around Nevada bent over.
Cue Nelson!
Time for Chris Christie to give this guy a heaping plate of BITCH SLAP.
