Biden Fined $219K For Campaign Violations
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | July 19, 2010 | Paul Cooper

Posted on 07/19/2010 3:42:42 PM PDT by HorowitzianConservative

Here's the bad news: our country is in a financial hurt box.  Here's the worse news: the people with all the financial answers are being fined almost a quarter of a million bucks in handling their own money.  Are you sure you want these guys to have more of your money?

This weekend an audit by the Federal Election Commission (FEC) was released showing major financial errors and money mishandling by the 2008 Joe Biden Presidential campaign.  It seems Joe and his folks were sloppy with bookkeeping and took excessive and inappropriate contributions.  The money handling was so bad that the Biden campaign has been fined $219,ooo.  Yes, the second most powerful man in the world, the guy who wants to handle your checkbook couldn't manage his own.

Look, I and my team of editors do sometimes respond and comment to freeper comments. We just don’t do it that much because FR is such a toxic environment with so many rude, nasty comments dominating the discussion. If it wasn’t like this then we’d certainly participate more regularly. But after this whole episode I’m certainly not encouraged to do so. I don’t need to be a “real FReeper.”

But fact of the matter is that I’ve even featured especially thoughtful freeper comments at NRB when they’ve had smart things to say about our articles:
http://www.newsrealblog.com/2010/07/02/comment-of-the-day-does-criticizing-neo-conservatism-help-the-left/

And this isn’t anything new. I’ve been posting our posts here for a year now. It’s just all of a sudden that a few of you have started harassing us about it in vicious terms. (My assistant managing editor Michael van der Galien forwarded me a comment of someone “spitting” on him. Yet you lecture me about ad hominem and rudeness.) The vast majority of freepers seem to have appreciated our content.

And yes, NRB is important. The work that the Freedom Center does is important and NRB is the outreach tool for the Center. So if you don’t support David Horowitz or the Freedom Center’s efforts to fight the Left and Islamofascism then continue to trash the publication and its efforts to grow.

But don’t lecture me about my ego (um, YOU DO NOT KNOW ME — these comments about ego strike me as projection) or my tone when you’re the one who started this flame war. You get what you give. If you’d been friendly and thoughtful then that’s what you’d have gotten back from me. When Larry was friendly to me I was friendly back to him.

If you don't like our "toxic environment" at Free Republic and don't want to be a FReeper, then why not leave? What's keeping you (or the NRBers with hurt feelings) here? What could you possibly stand to gain in a "nasty" place where people utter the hurtful and universally despised "$pit" word?

By the way, my questions above are rhetorical.

(My assistant managing editor Michael van der Galien forwarded me a comment of someone “spitting” on him.

What does this even mean? If he was virtually spit upon maybe it is because they thought he was virtually on fire?

But don’t lecture me about my ego

Yet you want to lecture him? Hypocrite much?

Best of luck to you as we all work together to fight the Left and Islamofascism from destroying our country.

In the past and even earlier today some Admin Moderators (not me) were thoughtful enough to attempt to make your visits here a bit easier. Then today one Admin Moderator volunteered to write this:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2555404/posts?page=19#19

After reading your comments in your post #42 above, it now appears to this Admin Moderator that you are waiting for the royal red carpet treatment while visiting such a "toxic environment" as Free Republic. You have made your intentions clear that you have no need nor desire of ever becoming a "real Freeper" yet you expect Freepers to visit and post on your blog.

Good luck waiting for the royal red carpet rollers.

Yeah.

Lucky me.

I gotta reboot to clear out the “resistant” crap.

Lord knows what’ll happen when I do, especially with the registry involved.

Wish me luck.

Saw the results. I thought it was just my system (this one made it through the house fire last April, and I thought there might still be some smoke in the works.)

The last two times I went to NewsReal, however, my system’s alarms went off and then it literally locked up to where all I could do was a restart. Upon restarting, I always run a scan. It had to scrap so much stuff I didn’t even bother to read all the sources.

Guess I know now where they came from.

Download the free version of this:

http://www.superantispyware.com/

And prepare to sweat bullets when it tells you to reboot to remove it all and you wait _8 minutes_ for your desktop to show up.

It may have “removed” the bad stuff but I guarantee I’m gonna have to reformat my *perfectly* set up and personalized laptop.

I really should use one of my old spare laptops to read FR, apparently.

If -it- gets infested, at least i won’t lose all my website and art work files.

It’s *all* the blog pimps.

My security programs go off like 5 alarm fire bells and they pop up warnings like mad.

I gotta sit and pick through all the crap I want to block just to read most of them.
