White House can't get its Sestak story straight
Washington Examiner ^ | June 1, 2010

Did you hear the one about how President Obama got Slick Willie Clinton to offer second-term Democratic Rep. Joe Sestak an unpaid appointment to an obscure White House advisory panel in return for dropping his primary challenge to incumbent Sen. Arlen Specter? Obama and his Chicago boys are still guffawing over how all the chumps in the media reported that one with a straight face. Hey, it's a just another reason why running a gangster government is nothing but laughs for the Obama crew in the White House.

The reality is that nobody outside the White House gang and its congressional confederates is laughing about this one. It is simply illegal to offer a job to anybody in return for doing something designed to influence a congressional election, so the White House story fails both the legal and the giggle test. In the first place, nobody can seriously believe that a wizened con man like Bill Clinton would agree to offer such rotten bait to a deep-water fish like Sestak, a former three-star admiral. ...

Second, ... Sestak was barred from serving on such a federal panel and thus would have been required not only to give up his Specter challenge but also his House seat in order to agree to the White House offer. Whatever else he may be, Sestak is not stupid and would not have agreed to such a bargain.

Third, when are Washington's business-as-usual politicians going to learn that the cover-up is always worse than the original crime? ... So there is a real possibility of obstruction of justice and conspiracy to obstruct in addition to the original violation. This is the gang that can't come up with a plausible story, much less shoot straight.

I can truthfully say to the Wee Wee that the cover-up is always worse than the original crime

Note: We can't post the image for copyright reasons, but Investor Business Daily's editorial cartoonist genius Michael Ramirez beautifully captured Obozo's predicament with THIS.

Because of his part in this cover-up Sestak is as guilty as Obama.
To me this proves that Blagojovich got thrown to the wolves in Chicago because he would not bow to Obama and give Obama the deal he wanted without a quid pro quo. Obama should be a witness at the Blago trial, It too was just another Obama scam gone wrong.

When Bill’s done covering up for Obama, Obama’s gonna wish he had confessed to everything up front.

Watch the Dems to start a campaign saying that even if the allegations are true, nothing illegal happened. They will get thier idiots on MSNBC, the NYT, etc to start this line pronto. Also watch for "legal" experts (i.e. left wing professors at law schools) to begin laying out the case defending Zero.

What’s worse, the hardcore progressive part of the electorate will welcome the spin as a great victory for
“their side”.

The only way anything would ever come of this if there were actually a majority of decent, honest and moral people in the house and the senate. And that ain’t never gonna’ happen.

How desperate is Obama to enlist an impeached, disbarred, disgraced and convicted felon ex-president as his “credible” cover? He obviously couldn’t trust Joe with any role in this.

Question I have is what did Clinton get for this?

Talk about clueless ingenues. Three months of stalling produced this inept excuse?
