.
Sometimes I think the best thing would be for Israel to force a conclusion to its cold war with the region and jump directly to the Sampson option now.
But I realize that is crazy to the point of being silly.

He also did not expect the hatred our government shows to Israel. B$, both he and Bush knew what Obama was about, otherwise you would have to presume them both too stupid to breath.
On the other hand Eisenhower expressed total disbelief when Castro declared Cuba was a Communist State, especially after we trained and financed his Revolution.

Israel may take a lot of casualties though. About two thirds according to some scholars.

Ever hear of the U.S.S. Liberty? Yes I have, still not sure what we were doing that upset the Israelis. Something sinister was going on because we never found out how we got all those men killed. It certainly was not a mistake.

Not surprising from a country that never really apologized, as far as I know, for massacring the Armenians from 1913-1915.

...in an attempt to prevent Israeli war jets from violating Turkish Airspace in case of an attack against Iran or Syria.
Oh yeah, that's the real reason. Even the Islamofascist wannabees running Turkey aren't stupid enough to think Israeli jets flying to Iran are A) going to be any threat to Turkey or B) coming anywhere near Turkey. The threats to Turkey are identical to the threats to Israel, with the addition of the Kurds. Thanks Strategy.

Good point. This move may be internal maneuvering rather than external.

I see it’s over for the relationship between Israel and Turkey.
